Came here after attending Candlelight Concert. Have always liked it but it has been awhile. Delicious food, cocktails and attentive service. We won't wait so long between visits.

We've had several meals with no issues, but this past weekend was a big disappointment. Very busy for sure, but we waited a full hour for our dinners and the food was barely warm. Our waiter did say it was his fault. We took our friends and felt it was a poor experience for all of us.

The ambiance. The food. The drinks. There is literally nothing about this place I don't love.. the staff is always so very friendly, even accommodated us when we didn't have reservations. Plus they have a great spread of food. If you're from Dayton or just visiting you gotta try this place.

Got dinner here before seeing Hadestown. I got the fig jam burger and it the job. It was a little overcooked but the flavors were still there and the fries were delightful. Despite being busy, our waitress did her best to check in on us and make sure we made it to the show on time. While some of their menu is a little pricey, I would definitely eat here again.

This was my first visit, but my husband has been twice before and raved about the food. It was easy to make same day reservations through the website and we received a text when our seats were available. We were greeted by the host and sat quickly. The server Drew was polite. The mussels appetitzer I wanted was already sold out. I ordered the fig burger and it was good, but unfortunately the fries arrived room temperature. They were limp and edible-- had it not taken so long for the food to arrive I would've sent them back to be remade.I would give the food a second try.. but I would absolutely insist on being seated on the first floor. Seems like there may a disconnect with the food service. The food runner with the bandana and afro rolled her eyes and sighed heavily both times she walked away from delivering food to a party of 11 that was also seated upstairs.

I’d would’ve rather drank a V8 …. There drink special they had this month… the waiter didn’t state the name of it but it was the best thing. Ordered the Deviled Eggs… ??? terrible… no flavor. Orders the crab crakes…. Subpar …. The Max& Cheese… taste like cardboard…the ranch dressing had way too much dill in it. I have an open pallet but this place isn’t for me.

Edited to add the following comment after Mudlick Response.I actually poured out my takeout container and dissected the food so that I can show that it was indeed spring mix. I do know the difference. Also, if it weren't spring mix and had actually been kale, wouldn't the server have simply said, "Oh that IS kale." No. What she said is that the kitchen was out of kale b/c they had had a big night the previous night and were out of a lot of things. Just wondering why you couldn't have simply said, "Thank you for the feedback"?We had a couple of small problems with the food - nothing too big. So, I decided to let the manager (whom I later found out was named Jen) know as we were leaving, after we had paid our bill. The soup was lukewarm, which was promptly reheated and tasted delicious when it was returned. My cauliflower power dish was supposed to be served on a bed of kale but came out with lettuce instead of kale. When the dish arrived, I asked our server about it and she said they had run out of kale and substituted the lettuce. When I told the manager that I thought I should have been asked about it instead of just having it substituted (the kale was the main reason I ordered the dish), I think she must have thought I was trying to get something for free (we didn't request anything to be taken off the bill) because she started arguing with me. She said they weren't out of kale and that they don't even have lettuce in the kitchen (later she said they do have "spring mix" - isn't that lettuce?). She offered to have the dish made again for us to take out (after rolling her eyes), but we weren't after anything like that. We just wanted to give her the feedback so maybe future customers would be asked instead of an automatic substitution. To all of the people who suggest to those writing reviews that they should take it up with the manager before leaving, I'd like to offer that it can be an unpleasant affair to do that, as it was last night. Her reaction put a damper on the rest of my evening. The meal itself was probably a 7.5/10, but her reaction reduced our impression of Mudlick to a 2/10. We go to Mudlick fairly often and have never been treated this way. Our server and the hostess were both delightful, btw.

We like the atmosphere and have been here before. This visit was sub par for them compared to prior visits. Chicken strips were overcooked and fries were undercooked, and not hot. Waitress not so attentive. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.
