I’m a big fan of Bob Evans, after going to college in Ohio; but now that I’m living on the East Coast I rarely get to visit one.My Husband & I visited the Defiance, Ohio Bob Evans in March, 2024. We found the atmosphere was very sleepy, almost bored. It was warm & clean on a cold, messy day, they absolutely get credit for a Clean place!The Sausage gravy seemed not as flavorful as in previous years, and the portions were not as impressive as they once were.Non-crispy hash browns, lackluster food overall, and while we had a Friendly and Capable waitress, she seemed to be busy doing other things when we needed her. Working, just not near our table.This is a similar experience to the one I had by myself in Feb of 2023, so I don’t think I will continue to try Bob Evans. Used to love them, but not anymore.

They have recently sold the Ohio stores, and it shows. Used to be one of my regular places to eat, haven't been back in well over a month.2/23/24 Just not the Bob Evans I remember. Used to have very good pancakes, lite fluffy. Now much smaller, flat, little better than cardboard. Home fries overcooked. Did I mention, it costs a lot more too. Think I will stick to eating at home.

Ordered takeout to take to work only to open up my bag to find no salad dressing and brown lettuce on my $14 Cobb salad, my one piece fried chicken meal was missing the mashed potatoes and gravy and no butter for the banana bread. Complete waste of 30+dollars which included a 20% tip. What makes it even worse is the fact there was more employees at the restaurant than customers and I was the only takeout customer at the time.

The food was great but the service was terrible took 10 minutes to get my drink forever to get my food they didn't make me feel welcome at all I won't be returning for lunch anytime
Food was pretty good. Our waitress wasn't very good. My kids ran out of drinks and she only check on us twice and we where there for a bit. She rarely talked to us and then handed check to me and walked away. Won't come back. At least the food was good.

Used to be a great place to get dinner. They blatantly lie about how there foods are prepared they charged $3 for a little cup of green beans. Slow cooked pot roast comes in a bag frozen along with there simmered soups which are frozen and flash boiled. Service was terrible went without a drink almost the entire meal will not be

We had an amazing experience at Bob Evans! Even though it was a Sunday and there was a wait, it was well worth it. The food and service were exceptional, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
