It’s average all around. Mostly a gathering place for old men. It’s just okay in my opinion. Not awesome, but certainly not a bad place either. I didn’t like being served a can of soda, rather than a fountain drink, but that’s a personal preference.

The people here ignored me and my girlfriend. They only ever came to ask about food in drinks no casual conversation like everyone else gets. Both of us ordered a Big Rumor. Bacon was almost raw, hard sausage patty, raw eggs only thing cooked was pretty much the edge of the eggs, hard potatoes. I ordered Over medium eggs. Plus the stares we received. I don’t even want to pay for my meal, I didn’t eat anything besides the premade pancakes. We shouldn’t have to pay $26 just for people to be biased.

I'm torn... Super homey feel, regulars don't even have to place drink orders, she just knows. Guys hanging out chatting, catching up, old couples and young families with kids. Would love to recommend everybody in Defiance or passing through stop and enjoy the good food, good prices, and great service, but I'd be afraid it would ruin some of the charm if the place got overwhelmed by people just looking to mind their own business...But if you're up for the feel of a true local spot, the pie is hand made and everything is cooked from scratch to perfection, you can't go wrong here.Vegetarian options: As you might expect from a place that serves breakfast, plenty of egg options, pancakes and French toast.Kid-friendliness: They have a spring horse that a kid was enjoying as his dad vacuumed up the understandable mess his daughter in a high chair had made after their meal. So yeah, kid friendly.

Sure to find your cup of coffee tipped off every little bit to keep it hot & you chattering with energy.Now for the food:Best Sausage gravy & Biscuits in the land I have found! Visiting Defiance I find great pleasure in scoping out spots that bring me great satisfaction & joy on the table to share. If you ever crave what this plate pictured, there is 2 options. Big Rumor or Little Rumor. No disappointment!

First of all, I live 600 miles away and the owner made it feel like it was my neighborhood breakfast joint. The food came and everything was excellent. Well priced and very good quality. This place deserves a lot of business. They work hard and put out a quality product. I only wish they were in North Carolina so I could eat there more often
