This was my first visit to the old bag of nails pub. My son who is from Columbus recommended it. I was a little disappointed that I could not try the fish which it is famous for, because they also fry shrimp in the same oil and I am allergic to shellfish. They are also known for their burgers, which I decided to try. I ordered the bacon cheddar barbecue burger, and it was very delicious. Instead of fries I ordered their cheddar soup of which I was not a fan. My son tried the potstickers and the fish dinner and said both were excellent.Parking is street side. Their outdoor patio looks very inviting for warmer whether.

Had a lunch date with the wife here. I did the unlimited soup and salad because i saw they had lobster bisque and french onion. I did the house made vinaigrette with my salad which was really good! I can't say the same about the soups. The lobster bisque was super thick and didn't have a good taste at all. The french onion soup, is always hit or miss at restaurants, and this one was a miss imo. The soup was really bland imo, it lacked that deep flavor from a good french onion soup. My wife had the buffalo chicken wrap and she wasn't amazed by it. She actually said Sheetz was better. Service was okay, they brought me sweet tea instead of unsweetened, however this happens to me often. Their servers were really friendly. In terms of the atmosphere, it has a traditional bar look to it, bar in the middle and seating all around. I have heard many good reviews of this place, so we will have to come back and try something a bit more substantial next time, thanks!

Stopped in around 01:00 pm on a Monday. Mostly empty, but a handful of eclipse tourists (myself included).Sat at the bar. Bartender introduced herself and let me sample their daily beer special. Had a few beers and some chicken wings. They had a Monday wing special ($1.00/wing), so I got six flats (they let you do that) with buffalo sauce on the side. Wings were served hot and crispy with balanced breading. Buffalo sauce was buttery and not too spicy. The interior is large but fairly cozy... lots of booths, high ceilings, and everything is wood. The bathroom was clean, although the toilet lid was weirdly half on.My only complaint was that the outdoor seating was closed. The patio in front of the entrance takes up a lot of space. With the black patio chairs piled up on the tables, the whole restaurant/bar looks closed from the street/sidewalk. A lot of the pictures/reviews showed outdoor seating, and I was kind of looking forward to enjoying the Ohio weather.Great draft deals, decent food specials, and a good bartender. What else do you need? (Cough* the patio to be open)

Hadda hankerin' for fish--- got fish&chips like Arthur Treachers-- breaded fried haddock, steak fries & cole slaw. 2 ice cold beers...all most excellent...l'd go back regularly. Spacious, laid-out--- looks like a nice fun Friday night bar too.

This is a great location to have Mussels and Shrimp. I drive 40 minutes to have this. I thoroughly enjoy them with wine or a beer. I love sitting outside in summer at this location and have loaded mussels just as much as sitting inside in a winter. Absolutely love this restaurant in Delaware.

My husband and I were trying to decide where to go to eat on Good Friday. Due to our religion, we don't eat meat on Fridays before Easter. We decided on the Old Bag of Nails. This place never disappoints. We both had fish and chips, and I was very excited they had lobster bisque for the soup of the day. WOW, everything was on point. The fish was delicious, the steak fries were crisp on the outside and soft inside, and the lobster bisque was outstanding. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I grew up with fresh fish right off the boats and lobster bisque. This restaurant's food is no joke. I would personally recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

My recent visit to The Old Bag of Nails Pub in Delaware, Ohio, was a mixed bag of experiences. The pub's atmosphere is undoubtedly charming, with its cozy interior and friendly ambiance. The menu offers a variety of pub classics, and the fish and chips were particularly noteworthy. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on.However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, leading to slow service and some confusion with our orders. It detracted from the overall dining experience. The pub itself could use a bit of sprucing up; it felt a tad dated and in need of some maintenance. With a bit of attention to detail, it could enhance the overall appeal. While The Old Bag of Nails Pub has its charms, there is room for improvement, especially in terms of service and ambiance. It's a decent spot for a casual meal, but I hope to see some positive changes on my next visit.

I went in because I used to go there years ago for their Famous Fish and Chips, so I thought I was going today for nostalgic meal. The fish was soggy the breading was way undercooked, it was terrible. And the waitressing asked me how my food was or anything else about my meal. Don't ever go there no order fish and
