Trader Jacks is a quaint little place in Eastlake. They have great fried perch, delicious freshly made potato skins, and the cocktails are on point. It sits off of lakeshore in the cut, and they have beautiful patios as well. Today, we sat at the bar because everyone was out trying to enjoy this beautiful day, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Our service at the bar might've been the best service we've had thanks to Brad. Brad was professional with very solid suggestions. We watched Brad single handled make cocktail order after cocktail order while also giving us and the other bar patrons excellent service. Brad is definitely an asset.

The fish was overcooked and very small portions. The fries were soggy and undercooked. I placed a pick up order as a treat for my family at 6pm, I was told 25 minutes. I got there at 6:30 and didn't get the food until 7. I got home and found part of the order missing. The stuffed Hungarian peppers were soggy and greasy, the sausage overlooked and hard as was the fish. The shrimp was pretty good. The prime rib meat and au jus was good but the bread was mushy. The lobster bisque was very good. The staff is very nice. I think they're inexperienced and not trained well but very nice and pleasant.

This was my birthday dinner tonight. I had never been here before. The food was very fresh and scrumptious. The friend I was with felt the same way. The portions were generous and Bradley our waiter was above and beyond great. Can’t wait to back there again. The baked scrod was phenomenal.Vegetarian options: Great salads, appetizers and some yummy main coursesDietary restrictions: I could not have the bread crumbs on my acrid and they said that was not problem at all. Very accommodating.Parking: The location is very close to the restaurant. There is ample parking.

The pizza and bourbon chicken were delicious! Beautiful view of the water and heated patio. Jim was an awesome server!

Server could have been more attentive considering we were there when the restaurant wasn't that busy. Table next to ours was seated after us but served their meals first. Drinks took awhile to be served. We have been there many times in the past. Really do like the place but this was not a good visit.

I came in last weekend for a date and sat on the enclosed patio. We did end up moving to a different table because the heater was very hot to sit under.I had the thin mints martini. The first wasn’t as strong as the second one. We had potato skins as an appetizer, they were good.I had the bourbon salmon for my main course over “rice pilaf”. It was very average. My date had the fried cod. He said it was good.Overall it’s a great location but I wouldn’t eat the salmon again.
