Visited the restaurant at 7pm with family and asked for a hibachi table, they asked me to to wait, after 20 minutes of waiting they said Hibachi is closed, I saw the person at the reception probably take reservation for someone else with more people, the reason he gave me was blunt, he just said hibachi is closed while I can see him allow others, he could have told me as soon as I visited that they can't let me in and I wouldn't have wasted my family's time I will never visit this place again and tell my friends to never visit such disrespectful unprofessional place ?

When I first started going here when they first opened, the food was awesome. I would go there almost weekly for lunch. Freshly prepared while I waited. Now, everything seems to be premade. I watched them put together my order out of what appears to be warning trays. No cooking seen. My Orange Chicken, pot stickers, and two chicken egg rolls order was put together in under 5 minutes. I won't be going back - what a shame that what started out as a great place has gone downhill to what it is today.

Nice decor and ample parking. Service is very attentive and friendly. Multiple hibachi tables and private booths. Freshly made sushi. Hibachi cooks are very entertaining and professional.

I was hoping for some Japanese food. I did not try the sushi. I saw mostly Chinese food on the McDonalds type menu and few choices. There were no vegetarian choices. The food was allready prepared. I got some potsticker type dumplings and a couple of egg rolls. The filling in both was a mash-up of unidentifiable soft mushy stuff in both items, and they tasted generally the same. The dumplings outsides were dried out and chewy. I hate paying for yucky food especially when I am really hungry. I like supporting local small businesses but I hate buying bad food and then throwing it away. Saddly I will not stop at this place again.

Ordered the buckeye roll and spicy chicken with fried rice. The roll was ok but the spicy chicken was more salty than anything and I don’t think it was chicken. I have never seen chicken like what I was served. It grossed me out so bad that I took a few bites and could not eat anymore. Save your money and get a hotnready instead

We went here because we felt like we wanted Hibachi so we came here as it had pretty good reviews then other places. The waiter sat us and we patiently waited 20 minutes just to get water. We ordered Edamame and Spring Rolls that we never got but still got charged for. It had already been 40 minutes when our chef started doing tricks. Rice was super greasy, I ordered Hibachi Chicken and it was super salty. If you want Japanese in Richmond, don’t come here.

Surprisingly good value despite appearances. At the time I went, the hours sign was blank, and the interior looked empty, my expectations were not high. I ordered a lo mein and was impressed by the volume of food in comparison to the cost. The food was ready very quickly, and $6 got me a full container of lo mein big enough that it could have easily been shared by two people. The flavour and texture were decent, not among the best I've had but far from the worse.Check out Sakura for a good value on decent food.

Food is always amazing! I would totally recommend! But I would love if they had more sushi options, with and without fish please :)

First time here and wont be returning. I ordered shrimp fried rice, spicy tofu over steamed rice, sesame chicken and buckeye roll. I gave 2 stars because my son loved his sesame chicken but me the tofu didnt eveb seem fried at all the steamed rice was gooey and the shrimp fried rice was just flavored horrible. What i was most excited about was the sushi(buckeye roll). The roll was soggy couldnt even pick it up without it falling apart. The wasabi was runny. I basically wasted $35 on food i threw away.

Sushi was good. I too wish they had more options, but the dragon roll was wonderful.
