Save your money! Fazolis is better! Horrible service and after waiting an hour for some pasta had to take it to go because we were late for an event and it wasn’t even worth it. It was BLAND!Edit to add in response to whomever replied to me. My husband also left a review as he reviews every place we go. His was more in depth. Our meal was comped but the manager’s attitude was disappointing. No need in doing anything for me. Won’t be back or recommend to anyone.

On this episode of kitchen nightmares we arrive at Giovanni’s. Once a delightful local spot now an utter disappointment… I’ve been a bunch a times in the past and always enjoyed it, but tonight was awful! Our waitress took forever to get our drinks both waters, we eventually ordered one alcohol never each. Mine took about 10 mins, my wife’s didn’t come till she was done with her salad. Speaking of salad they took 20 mins. We both ordered the same salad, we both go two different salads… after about 30 mins and we finished the salads even tho they were wrong, the waitress told us she would check on our salads??? I informed her we already ate them. Finally she said she would check on our food. She said it was coming, then it wasn’t. Then it was coming and then it wasn’t. Then my wife asked for the manager (mama bear was mad) the manager very defensive and short with us. She went to the kitchen and came back. She informed us it was coming. At this point we had enough over and hour and just lettuce??? We seen several tables that came in before us get their food and pay there bill. Keep in mind we only had a sub par meatball sub and bland fettuccine Alfredo. Per my wife fazolis Alfredo is better. We took the food to go. The manager did comp the meal, but her attitude was disappointing.Bottom line unless I’m getting there pizza (9.5-10) to go, I won’t be supporting Gios anymore.

Just happened to be in the neighborhood and looking for a place to eat. My partner recognized Giovanni's from 30 years ago and wanted to see if it was still as good. It was extraordinarily good! It was the best, most perfect pizza I have had in years! The pizza was so good and the pitcher of beer was so cold and good! What a great idea to eat here. I will go back!

Thursday was my first visit to Giovanni’s. I’ve missed out all my life. The food was absolutely magnificent. I arrived at 4:30 PM and met a friend. Within the hour the place was hopping. Folks were in line to pick up their pizzas to go. You can sit in a booth with ample room or at a table. The staff is super attentive while providing my beverage and suggesting their favorite items on the menu from salad dressing to pasta. I started off with a salad piled with extra cheese and homemade ranch dressing. This was not a skimpy sized salad. The bowl was heaping. I’m gonna try a different salad dressing next time. They all sound very tasty. My entree was stuffed spinach ravioli with marinara sauce. It was hot and the sauce was the most delicious sauce I’ve ever eaten. My friend pointed out that they have bottled sauce for you to buy and take home. What? And miss out on all the fun of being in such a happy place? The dessert choices were so very tempting. I chose the strawberry cake which was very light, moist, and layered with a strawberry filling. Pink delight on a plate! Again I must say even after the place got busy the staff was still quite attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. I can’t wait to visit Giovanni’s in Fairborn again. The street is flanked with some very interesting and unusual shops (Giovanni’s is right across from the main Foy’s Costume Shop).Parking: I saw the Giovanni’s sign and pulled right into a parking space. But looks are deceiving. The store front is quite long. The main entrance is the farthest door on the left and was at least 4 more car lengths from where I parked. I use a cane. It was a bright sunny day so I didn’t mind the short walk. But if needed there’s parking on both sides of the street. There were no steps to get into the restaurant so it was smooth sailing.

We came last night after purchasing tickets for a fundraiser. We've never been here before and were excited to try their food.It was terrible. It took everything in us to finish the meal. My husband was not impressed with the house salad dressing.I'm not sure if the sauce comes from a can or if it's the sauce served at the local school but save your money. Fazoli's tastes better.Edit to add since I can't reply...The sauce tastes like a cheap sauce a school would serve. I didn't ask for a refund because it was for a fundraiser. Had I visited w/o the fundraiser, I would have asked for a refund. I'm sorry you're disappointed with a 1 star review but it's my honest opinion on your food.

We were very surprised that nothing they had on the menu seem to match what they had on their website and we were told not to look at the website that it was very old. Then they should change it. The service was great. The food was OK at Best. Their antiquated pay system is so outdated and uncomfortable. The restrooms were disastrous and filthy. This is an example of a place that people go because they have no other choice and that’s the only reason it’s open.Fairborn really deserves better.

When we travel back into Fairborn Ohio, this is always in the top tier of restaurants we have to visit. Honestly probably the best pizza in the area! Nested right in old downtown Fairborn, this restaurant is the heart of it all. Great food and customer service. The best pizza in Fairborn!

Came here with a party of 16. Great service in a wonderfully old school place. Had a delicious jumbo pepperoni pizza, a house salad with a fantastically garlic dressing, and a bottle of their house pinot noir...will definitely be returning!
