I was not a fan. I don't want to put the place down, I just did not like anything about the place. I will say this though the burgers I saw looked good, we were there for late breakfast. I'm not sure I will return for lunch to try one.
It's been many years since I've been there. I had the corned beef hash fried in butter. Do they still serve that? It was beyond delicious.

Absolutely disgusting. As I'm eating I watch the cook grab raw bacon with his bare hands, then grab a to go container, then cheese,then his phone and talk on the phone, and then back to grabbing raw bacon. Never once washing or sanitizing his hands. I wonder how many people are getting sick. The cook either lacks basic food handling knowledge or just doesn't care.

The food is great, very delicious everything you want from a diner and more. However the service was not the greatest. The server was not friendly at all. Almost passive aggressive.. She stacked the plates on top of each other to bring it out to us.? Not cool whitey's?

Small town diner at its finest. If your in Fremont and looking for breakfast or lunch, would definitely recommend. Not a big place, but worth it.
Whitey's held a lunch in honor of my grandpa's passing. The folks that work there gave their time to serve us. It meant a lot to see their love for him. It's a place I'd always heard him talk about but never had the chance to see. It's a cute and charming place. I know why he liked it there now. ?
