The food itself needs a chef to do some basic instruction to enhance the flavors - nothing awful in any way, but it wouldn't take much to make the food really rock. Not complaining, just suggesting - and kudos for the healthy local sourcing!“

“Dave's is phenomenal- this was, far and away, the best sandwich I've ever eaten. I got the corned beef, the freshest I've ever tasted, plus a cookie (made with good quality chocolate). I recommend trying their thousand island sauce too, so freshly made that the diced pickles were still crunchy. Plus, the folks working there were so chill, made us feel right at home. I'd give six stars if I could!“

“While visiting my best friend in Ohio and her new place she took me to have lunch at the Howard Hilton near her home. We had an amazing girls day with excellent service! We were constantly checked on and our drinks were never empty. Our order was taken at our convenience and arrived promptly and correct. I ordered a BLT which was piled high with perfectly cooked bacon, I did ask for an extra slice of tomato and it was not a problem. The fries were fresh to order and made from scratch. I also had a mushroom appetizer and they were quite delicious. I will definitely swing through here again on my next visit back home. I failed to take photos as we had an amazing time and I was living in the moment but I definitely recommend everything that we order was perfect!“

“Had not been here since new ownership. The improvements I noted are extended hours and 7 days a week, more tv monitors all around the entire place, and NFL ticket. My server, Sarah was very nice and attentive to all customers. If you didn't know they have keno, pull tabs, pool and a jukebox. Highly recommend this if you like a small bar and grill in a small town with friendly people.“

“Food was good, had cheeseburger and fries. Fries came out before the burger snd almost finished them before the cheeseburger came. Only negative was the bun; it was flakey and breaking apart (left out too long) but overall tye cheeseburger was really good.“

“On Sunday 9/10 we visited your store. Our first experience at Mt Vernon. Only one worker!!!! This woman could have been slow, grumpy, frustrated or even left. She didn’t! Very order was taken with a smile and made as efficiently as possible. Out the door lines! Simply amazing! I hope her efforts did not go unnoticed!“

“I have given a fair sampling to every bar in Mount Vernon and this one has the most games, the friendliest crowd with the best taste in music and the staff keeps it entirely 100! I am not easy to impress but I am sincerely impressed by how they run their business. There is no drama and it is safe. I would like to see more people support bars like this but then again, I don't want people to go in there and trash it up.“
