Website said that they don't take reservations but when we arrived they wanted to know if we had a reservation. Eventually they were able to seat us. The service was okay and the portions were generous.

Purchased a bottle of their "Firehouse Cellars" chardonnay yesterday . Absolutely terrible. Either a bad bottle or they just don't know how to vint chardonnay . Had a spoiled , vinagery taste to it as opposed to a creamy , buttery finish. Choked down half the bottle & poured the remainder down the kitchen drain. Also the winery itself is in dire need of a thorough cleaning & updating. Has gone downhill since we moved from GOTL 4 years ago.

After reading some of the reviews it sounds to me that nothing has been done to improve the service/food. We went this past Sunday. I thought it was closed. I go in and ask the musician if they were open. He said yes but we were the only couple there other than him. Every time we have gone there in the past I noticed the service/food was getting worse.Last summer we were served a wine bottle that tasted like vinegar. We took it back and they gave us a new bottle. It tasted the same so we left. This was suppose to be the best of their wine....yea right. If you really want to know what's going on talk to their x-employees. Since we had that privilege and here r some of their comments:- They work us like dogs for the pay- The manager is more push the wine and food regardless of the quality- There is no future there- They new the wine hadn't fermented enough but they still began selling the wine which explains the vinegary taste. If I would disregard the comments by them there was another incident where I was eating upstairs. Two older ladies began to question us regarding the place. Come to find out that they were part investors of the Firehouse business or going to invest in the business. We pointed out what I wrote earlier. I'm not sure if they ever invested in the business but unless they make drastic changes I would not include this place in the winery tour. Yes every business needs to make a profit but if you go by the myth that everybody will go to a winery, think again. Your best advertising is "Word of mouth" and when asked, I send them to Debonne Vineyards (4.4 rating) vs Firehouse Winery (2.4 rating)2-14-2024 UPDATE: My wife and I decided to try Firehouse Winery again. I'm not sure if there's a new owner but what a difference. The waiter was a excellent person that went out of his way to make us feel very welcome. The wine tasted excellent. The food was top notch and plentiful. It was an unbelievable experience. Keep up the excellent service and for this I changed my stars to 5 stars.

Came in during the off season. Food was decent and service was just fine! The wine flight is definitely worth the price and small souvenir glass!

This was a less than ideal experience. The inside of the winery didn’t seem the cleanest, there was dust everywhere on the firefighter decor. We tried a flight of wine. Some of them were good, but overall they were very average. The woman who waited on us even spilled some of the wine samples on our tray, which is fine, accidents happen. But she still served us that tray with the paper ID’ing the wines soaking wet instead of wiping down the tray and getting us a new piece of paper. The view of the lake looked nice, but that’s about it. I understand that they’re trying to appeal to a casual crowd, and there’s a correct way to accomplish that, but this overall experience was just not it.

No one seemed to want to wait on us.

Had a mozzarella appetizer it had no cheese in some of the pieces. The service was okay nice server. But when I showed her there was no cheese she said well that happens when they are fried. Arby's has better mozzarella appetizers. Yelp asks about the ambiance. Hopefully this place is going to be updated soon. It looks really run down and just dirty. This use to be a really nice place to go. Wine was terrible.

This winery has a more Bar feel to me personally then a winery, I do love the walk down to the water lovely view of Lake Erie.

What I loved about this place: it’s very unique and unusual; it’s a winery in an old firehouse and there’s a Ferris wheel and it’s on the edge of the lake. It’s very conveniently located, within walking distance of a lot of the shops and the lodge. It’s also a very casual option compared to a lot of other wineries in the Geneva area if you want an atmosphere that doesn’t feel so formal. There’s a lot of room for growth though. The inside was a little dingy and stuffy and it was kind of confusing on the property to figure out where the actual wine tasting is. The space could use some updating, especially all the outside seating areas. The space has so much potential to be very cute and charming! The wine was served in disposable plastic cups, but it wasn’t cheap wine, so that felt really awkward. But the wine was good though!

OMFG.... In my opinion terrible is not quite the right word, but close. Where is the owner? The staff is clueless. I am not sure where the train came off the rails but it certainly did. The people tried... I think but seemed clueless. Service was bad!!! It took an hour to get a Reuben and a steak salad. Who knew a Reuben is now a cold sandwich with unmelted cheese. Bottom line horrendous service. Worse food.so bad I have to lay this at the owners or managers feet. Employees alone can not screw this up this bad on their own.

We recently spent the evening having dinner here while visiting GOTL. The atmosphere was good. Outdoor seating with umbrellas. It’s was a great evening to sit outside. The view is the money maker for this place. You have a great view of the amazing Lake Erie sunsets! Our server was sweet. She was fast and friendly. The food was just ok. I had a wrap that was ok. The fries however were not good at all. They were hard as a rock and cold. I was disappointed in that. The prices were pretty hefty for the food we were served. We had wine and beer to drink.

We were visiting Geneva on the Lake and found this restaurant. Ordered wraps, which came with homemade fries or tortilla chips and salsa. The restaurant allowed us to bring our dog and we ate on the patio. Our waiter Kaloyan was so attentive to our needs, he is such an awesome waiter.
