I have good and bad news. Today, we ordered the two meat plate with brisket and smoked turkey, coleslaw, and brisket baked beans. The turkey was moist and tasty. The brisket baked beans were very good! Unfortunately, the coleslaw was bitter and seasoned with pepper, which was not prepared the way that I prefer. The brisket was probably the worst that I have ever tasted. It was overcooked and so dry that it crumbled when I tried to use a fork. For a barbeque restraunt to ruin one of the best cuts of meat, they should be ashamed of themselves. My dog absolutely loved it!The loaded pastrami fries were amazing! The thick cut pastrami is definitely one of the best I've ever had.This visit has me completely confused because I have never been to a barbeque restraunt that had me more excited about pastrami over brisket.Hopefully, this visit is not the norm for them. I will give them another chance, simply based on the pastrami alone. I'm not sure if I will ever order their brisket again.

I was really disappointed with my recent experience at your restaurant. I was looking forward to enjoying some pork, but was disappointed to find out it wasn’t available. Then, when I ordered the city sampler, I was expecting to savor some brisket, but instead, I received parts of chicken and a sausage. It felt like my order wasn’t taken seriously, and I had to ask for a refund. Additionally, the state of the bathrooms was subpar at best, which added to my dissatisfaction. I work hard for my money, and after this experience, I don’t plan on spending any more of it at your establishment. It was a big letdown.

I ordered curbside, used the wrong card and it didn’t go through. So I immediately put another order in, and it went through with no issues. Showed up for curbside pickup, and an older woman with blonde hair and crooked teeth (we didn’t get her name) came out and told us matter-of-factly that we owe her $33. We said no, we don’t, we put another order in since the first one didn’t go through. She proceeded to question whether the payment posted to our bank account, we said yes, and she aggressively shoved the food through the window into my wife’s hand and said ‘here, just take it’ and stormed off. The whole exchange upset my two children in the car.I called the store and spoke to the store manager and explained what happened, and she apologized and said she would give us rewards for the inconvenience. I did not have an account and she did not ask my name.I called corporate and explained the situation, and the gentleman was very confused about how I was given rewards with no existing account, so he gave us $50 in rewards. Kudos to corporate for handling this so well. We’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant and always felt it was a welcoming family atmosphere until last night. Hopefully their customer service improves and that woman receives some training on customer relations and is feeling better soon. But we will definitely be back to use our rewards!

Ate at City BBQ tonight. Service was good, food marginal, more like fast food barbecue than the real thing. The pulled pork was dry, tasteless, and I could not detect any smoke flavor at all. Sausage was passable at best. My wife got the mac and cheese and it was a gluey, congealed mass. She passed on it. Good hush puppies, though. Hard to believe they have so many locations, but you can't account for taste.

This City BBQ was clean, the staff was friendly and the sandwich I received was actually perfect brisket. One thing I can give to City BBQ is consistency. I have always had decent meals there. The problem I have with City BBQ, and the reason I don't visit often...... $16.00 for a regular drink, sandwich and fries. That is ridiculous. That is not a dig on the particular location. City BBQ is also consistently expensive.
