Hadn't been there in years. Great to visit during day drinking and seeing an old friend who was bartending, one of the best, Chasity.

Needs to relocate somewhere with a parking lot so people can park there not on the corners or streets and take up parking spaces to those who live there.

Was former;ly known as Hinkles Tap room in 60's. They never asked for ID in those days, just served beer and some wine along with bar food. The better place to eat was Bob's Cafe a block north on Hooven. Slim (owner) lived upstairs, set me up with a glass of beer for each strikeout I got while pitchinh HS baseball when I was 18 senior year 1968

Stumps has everything a good dive bar needs. Cheap drinks, dimly lit, and a good back patio if you need to smoke. I grew up in the area and loved it then. But now that I've moved away I've made it a staple for every trip I make home. Long live stumps.

Stumps is an institution, but not for dinner. More for a coldie or two. Or eleven. Stop in and have a few coldies and a couple shots. Enjoy the atmosphere and have a few more coldies and a couple more shots. Rinse and repeat.
