Beer list online (which you are prompted to use) didn't match the actual selection. "Heated tent area was 'cozy' but annoyingly situated. Beer was"meh".

The only thing that keeps me from coming more frequently are the prices, as some items can be a little steep. Otherwise, I absolutely love this place. They have great food, and a solid beer selection. It’s obviously best during spring-fall, but the new addition of a tent does make this a place to stop year round. Service has always been great and the place is very clean and organized, even the bathrooms in the back. Great place to bring a few people and a pup and sit around the fire enjoying German beer and sausages. Hope they stick around!

It's cute, it's "unique," the food, drinks and service are FINE, but IMHO, it's a HUGE gimmick. At least during the colder months, it might be worth one visit to check out the "igloos" set up in the front, but the hassle of zipping yourself in and out of there, the either freezing or roasting temps (the igloos are heated) and the set up is not the most conducive to hanging out, eating and drinking with friends. The food (some, not all "German-style") the drinks (some VERY good cocktail choices) and the service are all very good. The tiny table in the center of the "igloo" might not have been the best for what my group of 5-6 people ordered. Our (giant!!) pretzels, hummus platter and other assorted apps barely fit on the table, but we made it work, mostly... Service was good, and our group seemed happy with the menu, venue, etc., but I'd only go back in warmer weather, as I didn't really like the winter tent/igloo setup....Give it a try, YOU might enjoy it... I might see you back there in warmer weather!!

The food here is so good! We went late at night and it was chilly out, but they provided blankets and we cuddled up by the firepit to eat. The sausages are phenomenal, the beer cheese was fantastic, and the sauerkraut was the best I've ever had (better than my grandma's homemade, shhhh!). We will definitely be back!!!

Wow. I kept driving past this place and finally stopped by to check it out. The customer service was superb. The gentleman working the bar asked us if we'd been here before and since we hadn't, he explained the menu and told us what was popular/his personal favorites. He was kind and patient with us as we decided on what to get. We got a few drinks and some food and sat by the fire place. The fire was nice since it was a chilly night. Although the chairs are made of medal, they have blankets available for the chairs! Even though it was 40° outside, it definitely did not feel like it. I was so warm and toasty. For food, we got the pretzel which was huge! The cheese dip was absolutely scrumptious. The Mac and cheese was also very tasty and had fried onion on it. If you're looking for a laid back outing, with amazing customer service, definitely check Hillgarten out! Totally recommend it.
