My first-time visit to this establishment. I was surprised the inside is small. It's a place where you can sit anywhere. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening. There's a bar area with seats and a few large screen TV's. I'm not a seafood lover, so I ordered the 3 Parmesan garlic chicken tenders with seasoned fries. The tenders were so good. I like seasoning on the fries. My sister and I ordered the Mozzarella sticks, and they were so good. They were hot and I the crust. Our server was great, but we had to get her attention for refills on drinks. It was only two servers, and they were really busy. My sister ordered two large pieces of fried catfish and fries. She ate everything. Her food was hot and nicely seasoned. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food they serve. I saw a few folks leaving with leftovers. We are both looking forward to visiting again. I forgot to ask if they offer a military discount.

After reading reviews, a friend and I decided to try it. GREAT DECISION!Food was fabulous; the place is spotless and the service was superb! The fresh fish was Walleye and it was delicious. Fried calamari and shrimp spring rolls were great appetizers.Please support this restaurant and the independent entrepreneur behind it.Kid-friendliness: Saw patrons of all ages enjoying their food.A young girl was going to town on a boil.btw... They provide plastic gloves along with the boil. I didn't see any unhappy faces

Sands not only has great food, but the prices are very affordable! The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is wonderful! Even though it's a sports bar, it's not rowdy and serves as a nice family restaurant.

My friend and I decided to try Sands on feb 1. Everything was tasty other than the seafood boil I got. It lacked in flavor. It just tasted like watered down garlic which was disappointing considering it was a really nice potion size. She enjoyed her crab cake and the plate was visually appealing. I wanted to try the fried oysters that only came in a platter meal that was accompanied with fries. The description of the oysters said “plump” on the menu but when they arrived to the table they were very small but I overlooked that because the flavor was on point. I would like to go back and try the catfish but overall everything was ok.
The fish was tender with just the right amount of breading, and my wife said the crab cake was the best she'd ever had. Gracie was great as our hostess and server. Will definitely be back.

The place is clean the food is delicious the screens are big enough to see games wherever you sit. The Gumbo is the best I’ve ever had. The staff is SO nice and attentive. The drinks from the bar are made just right not overly iced. Will be making this a new regular date night spot!
