Hungry and disappointed, the smoked bowl was not the vibe . Mashed were lacking heavy in seasoning , chicken tasted like gas fumes not smoked , the burbon bbq made the chicken taste spoiled ? corn bread was good ....sheesh not a good first time experience

Smoked chicken tacos - loaded with smoked, unseasoned meat. Sometimes less is more. A quantity amount of food doesn't substitute quality of food.Mashed potatoes were not cheesy as advertised (no cheese)Bourbon BBQ sauce - is this your only sauce ? When I ask for BBQ sauce for a child and you bring me a bourbon BBQ that better be the only option ?Service was great, atmosphere is nice.

This was our first time at Oak & Embers, and our last. Although I cannot comment on the regular menu, I must say the Easter buffet was very disappointing. No, "Lousy" would be a better word - especially for the price (with tip over $50 pp). The food was not good at all; the pancakes were dry, hard and tasted like flour, the bacon was limp and extremely greasy, the potatoes were undercooked and flavorless, the sausage links hard and dried out, scrambled eggs tasted awful, and no bread or rolls were served. The only things that were somewhat decent was a freshly made omelette, the ham, and the desserts, which were obviously not made in-house. The two other carved meats also left a lot to be desired. I wanted to take my family out for a nice Easter dinner… but this was a huge disappointment!

Brisket bowl dinner was sent back. Pure fat pieces over greasy cheddar mashed potatoes. Service was slow and non-attentive. Would not recommend.

Came here for my birthday and had a solid meal. The cheese curds were pretty good but the accompanying sauces weren't terrific. My wife got the tomato basil, which was delicious and would definitely get again. I really enjoyed the brisket melt but I thought it could have used more sauce options. The mushroom au jus was nice but more liquid would have gone a long way. Definitely want to go back for all the other things on the menu I was interested in.

Was in the area to visit waterfalls and hiking trails. Used the googler to find food and this place came up. And I will say I was not disappointed! I had the hopping ? shandy, and it was delicious! As for the food.... We had the combo 3 with sausage, Chicken, and pulled pork. And it was the ?! The sausage was definitely a must. Mac& cheese really good. Worth going to check out for sure.

It's just okay. Good for bourbon, but just average food. Also, referring to this place as a barbecue restaurant is a misnomer. This is a restaurant that serves American cuisine.
