A beautiful and historic building. We had two wonderful visits during the Heritage Light tour.
Shake Shop has had a name change to The Shakery due to some ridiculous legal issue with the name. This is a dairy bar type restaurant but it does have a dine in area so you can get out of the weather. There is nothing fancy about the aesthetics but they do have good dairy bar food. They have the typical hot dogs, burgers fries and onion rings with ice cream and milkshakes. Their burgers are fresh hand patties ground beef and are very good, they make their own hot dog sauce which seems to be very popular with its patrons. Something that sets them apart though is they have a daily special of home cooked type food, chicken and dumplings, baked steak, meatloaf and such. The specials are very good and you get big portions. The service is great and you get your food really quick.
