We had a great experience at Uncle Johnnie's on a busy Saturday evening. The appetizers and food were all delicious! We did have to wait to be seated but once we were at our table we got our drinks and food quickly. The restaurant doesn't look much different than it did when it was the Horseshoe. It was a little expensive, family of 4- appetizer, meals and 2 sodas/2 waters- with tip was $110. I eat there again!
Welcome to Jtown Uncle Johnnie! I'm so glad they retained the historical beauty of this space!! The place was packed when we visited on 1/19/24. Staff are amazing!! Very attentive and great service. It will be the place to go for a drink and burger. It's the happy medium between Ghostwriter and Henson's Pub. We had the tavern tips (tender), Graffiti Burger (good) and spicy chicken (good). Ok I love this space and want it to do well! With that said I hope the owner reads this. We also talked to the nice manager tonight as well for a couple thoughts... The nacho's ... the chicken needs seasoning and thrown on the grill with something for flavor and WARMED UP!!!! Literally ice cold...The Cook needs kicked in the butt for serving COLD COLD chicken on top of nachos that should be hot.
