We have dined here a handful of times. Yes the place is very dated and could very much use a remodel but beyond that, we have found that the food and service have always been good. It a relaxing place to dine and they have a great outdoor space. Worth a visit.

We had a date night dinner here tonight. We came early, so no just ahead of the dinner crowd. We had good service. The hostess made a fire in the fireplace for us, which really took the chill off.Small draft beer and wine list, but decent choices. We were served a nice small half loaf of warm bread and butter, which was unexpected but appreciated. We both had the 8 oz flat iron steak. I had the bourbon glaze on it, which was like a slightly spicy barbecue sauce. Loved it on my steak. Our meals came with 2 sides. We both had the very large house salad that includes a hard boiled egg, and was very fresh. My wife had the baked potato and I had the roasted pepper rice. The name of the restaurant and the outside of the building didn't really carry into the interior of the restaurant, which had a much more open and "family style" vibe as opposed to a more intimate cozy atmosphere. It didn't really matter, but it wasn't what we expected the inside to look like.Overall, we had an excellent experience there. It was a very good value, with good food and serviceWe would go again and will recommend the B.I.G. to our friends.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a spicy margarita from their cocktail menu. It came out bright green and tasted like they just poured a glass straight from a Jose Cuervo premade margarita jug. At no point did our server come back to ask how our drinks were or asked if either of us wanted a refill/ something new. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer when we ordered our drinks. $18 for 3 and the server took our plate away before we were able to finish the last one (she also did the same thing with my salad when I wasn’t done eating it). For our meals we ordered a burger and the 2 chicken breast special. The burger came out completely raw and the 2 chicken breasts… it was only 1 but sliced in half. At this point the server was made aware of the raw burger and took it back to get remade. It did come back out cooked but with no fresh fries. We paid around $100 with tip and left knowing we will never come back.

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful little gem. We are traveling out of town for work. They are the most welcoming, accommodating, wonderful staff on earth. We had the best food, the best drinks, and the best service anyone could ever ask for. We travel with our little dog. They treated him like a king and welcomed us with open arms. 20 out of 10, we love this place and had a blast! We can’t WAIT to come back! I wish we had gotten the names of our server and manager, I want to let them know how great they were!

Lots of improvement in food quality and staff. Atmosphere could use improvements as the building and decor are extremely outdated.

We've been here on two separate occasions once for lunch and once for dinner. I have been pleasantly surprised both times. Their burgers were delicious, they have a fantastic classic steakhouse salad, and tonight we had steaks. I can't believe how delicious the steak was. My husband, myself, and our kid all really enjoyed our steaks! I can't believe we have bypassed this place so many times. The prices are a little higher but the food has been outstanding each time we've been here.Kid-friendliness: The kid sized sirloin steak is the perfect size for our 9 year old!

Even though the atmosphere was a little old fashioned this place was absolutely amazing! !! The service was impeccable. We never had to ask for refills they were just brought to us. Very friendly staff from the minute you walk in the door until the moment you leave. The food was sooo good. My husband and I both ordered steaks. I ordered the 8 oz fillet and my husband ordered the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection with a outstanding flavor. The house salad was so good and at the time they had a shrimp and lobster chowder. It was so good. We are visiting from out of town as our son goes to Kent State. It was not a far drive at all from Kent. We will definitely be back here again.

Have been wanting to eat here for a while. Finally went and was kind of disappointed. Very expensive. 3.50 for a pop and same for 1 cup of coffee. Almost 40 dollars for steak and 30 dollars for Salmon. My Salmon was fine but the side of rice was a gooey blob. The wedge salad was $12.99 by itself, so we ordered it as the side but was still 6.99. The food was not any better than Longhorn or Outback. Nice place , but way too expensive for two dinners. $94.00 for dinner and $20.00 for the tip was a lesson for us. Also, the mashed potatoes were a ice cream size scoop and browned on the bottom. Not good. But my husband said the baked potato was good. So there's that.

We didn't know there was a specials menu even though one was in effect at the time we came. We also didn't know that a party of 2 only got half a loaf of bread; 3+ gets a full loaf, and they charged $1 for bread refills. Finally, the steak I got was good, but the shrimp cocktail seemed cooked, like it was microwaved. Mediocre for this service level.
