On 2/13/24 I decided to take a completely different route home from a long appointment at Cleveland clinic so I could get vegan calzones. We go in DP Dough and the young man is friendly and kind. We drive 45 minutes to get home and I open my calzone and it’s full of onions. I cannot eat onions. I called and the same young man comped it. Half way through my husband’s calzone he starts spitting out a pink meat that was ham or salami. When you’re vegan you understand how traumatizing this can be. I message DP dough. They offer to refund my whole order( refund takes 8 days to go thru). There’s no apology or anything. Just a dry we will share this with our team. We went out of our way to get vegan food after a long day at the hospital and still had to figure another meal out. I f don’t think I’ll visit this establishment anymore. I wouldn’t recommend it for vegans or vegetarians as the cross contamination did happen to us.****editing this review. They did return my money to my bank in the form of a check ( though I used a debit card) . Their check did not clear at my bank and I lost the refund $ PLUS a service fee for THEIR check bouncing! I called and asked for the owners number. They took my number for the manager to call me. He never did. They are not responding to messages. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever had happen to me and I am debating whether to contact the better business bureau.Vegetarian options: They offer vegan but ours was contaminated with meatDietary restrictions: Vegan

Food was good but it took an hour and a half to give us our takeout. Absolutely ridiculous. If you need a late night snack and don’t feel like waiting, look somewhere else.

I never post review but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had here. All the other times have been great. I ordered my food and was told it would be there in 40 minutes. Waited and hour before calling for an update. Was told the driver was out on another delivery, waited another 30 minutes and called back was told the driver was on his way. During this whole time they failed to mention one of the calzones I ordered was not on the menu, so when it got delivered had to call back because said calzone was missing. Was told I had to wait for the cook and they would send out a new calzone quickly as they are “not busy” its currently midnight and I ordered it at 9pm and still no calzone

Ordered over the phone and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Arrived 25 minutes after ordering and then waited another 20 minutes only to receive two poorly made

This little gem is amazing. Had no clue this place existed but once we found out about this place it's a must for us now. Calzones look small but they're extremely filling and really delicious.

Goodness! What an amazing calzone! It was my first time there. The staff was very helpful in my choice of calzone. It is open late until 4am if you need a late night place to eat. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone to try out. Very fresh ingredients and made to order.

I walked in here and both female and male employee was sitting there on their phone. I walk over to the register and the girl is still sitting there in her phone and then finally looks up at me. Then the guy says “hi” not even like prompting me in anyway. So I just say “I have an order for pickup”. And I get my wings and there’s only sauce on half of them. Like okay I get it’s late, but don’t sign up for a job ur not gonna do

DoorDasher- Every single time I've been here, the staff are exceptionally kind, understanding, and friendly. The guy last night was apologetic because the food took an extra 3 minutes. It was refreshing to have someone be that conscious about delivery times. Even though it wasn't an inconvenience.I must note that this restaurant is always clean, despite the major foot traffic daily. Well done, yall. I appreciate your dedication.

The one star reviews I have read are completely true, same with the five star. The truth is, the food quality absolutely depends on who is working/the time of day.I have ordered DP Dough weekly and sometimes daily for months since I moved to Kent and I order the same thing every time. Sometimes we get our calzones loaded with cheese and pepperoni with all the sauces included and it’s cut perfectly. Sometimes we order and there is maybe one singular pepperoni in the whole calzone, none of the bread was sliced, and all the sauces were missing.I will say, the earlier in the day I order, the higher the quality. I ordered at 3:30am and the calzone was empty, uncut, undercooked/raw, with no sauces.Overall I love DP Dough, but they have room to improve on their quality with certain workers.
