Have been to the Overlook a number of times. Always great food. Felt I had to post this though. Tried to get a table outside. Understand that they were full but staff could not even give us a guess as to when we might be able to get a table. So we decided to just get an order to go. We were told the "kitchen" said they just could not handle a to go order. Having owned restaurants, your staff should NEVER be in charge of turning down business. Very disappointed, May not go back.

My husband and I came in for dinner last night for my birthday. It was our first time there. Being in the food industry myself, I can confidently say this was one of my favorite restaurant experiences in a long time! The server was great, the drinks were delicious, our food was perfect and the owner/chef stopping to say hello and make sure our food was to our liking was classy! I don't write reviews often, but I was so impressed I wanted to show my appreciation! Thank you all for a wonderful experience! We will be back!

The view is gorgeous, the building and facilities are elegant, it is detached from every noise, yet close enough and the Chef is superb! The quality of the meat is perfect and all the flavors blend together. I keep going back.

The Overlook is definitely one of the gems in northeast Ohio. Zou is an excellent chef and has a lot of talent behind him. The service is always on point with a very friendly family and staff. The wedding venue is the best anywhere at a reasonable price.

I was very surprised with this place. I had never been for dinner, only for a wedding reception. We go all the time now. I get the Delmonico ribeye everytime. My wife gets the ahi tuna. The prices are very fair for the portions.

My wife and I were recently married here at The Overlook. I wish I could say it went flawless, that everything was exactly how it was described and how everything was promised. We conversed with the owners more than a year out and were nothing but kind and courteous. We had met on several occasions to discuss wedding details, topics, and day-of information with their staff and members of our wedding party. We had even visited for dinner on multiple occasions with various family members. The views were amazing, the food just as amazing and everything seemed to be falling into place perfectly. The owners stayed in touch throughout the whole process and up until the day before the wedding. Luckily having arrived at the same time as our vendors, finding out that the chair rentals were miscommunicated to the rental company but was quickly sorted to have them redirected inside the venue. Quick fix. We realized that the preparations for the building had not been completed as previously promised. As if it was forgotten that an outdoor wedding was to be performed the next day. All of the flower beds, planters, and pots were completely empty. Containing no more than dirt and a few dead plant remanences. They were promised to be lined with flowers for the day of the wedding. 2 of the beds ended up mulched but no flowers made it to the ceremony. We had to send the mother-of-the-bride to Lowes, to buy potted flowers, to pot our own flowers, hours before the ceremony. Multiple details of our day had been completely overlooked and forgotten. All of which were discussed previously with numerous people in attendance. Once reminded of those details, they were accommodated accordingly by the staff. The evening of the rehearsal, we were now provided new information that the decorating for the wedding could not start until after 9pm. Previously we were told we could utilize the entire day to set up and assemble decorations. Since that was no longer the case, the morning of the wedding, we all were scrambling to set up the "stage" for the wedding. Assembling decorations, placing stands for desserts and finalizing details for our special day. All of this was taking place while the bridal party and parents were in the middle of getting ready. Essentially taking shifts to help set up the venue. Later finding out that the woman were all sitting on the floor in their bridal "suite" since there were only a couple chairs and some chairs for the individuals getting hair completed. My wife said she and everyone else were never checked on to see if they needed anything but when they reached out they were scoffed at and dismissed. Up until the last 30 minutes before the ceremony when one of the bartenders asked how my wife was doing and if he could help at all. We were so thankful that we planned for ushers at the wedding because the staircases were in such disarray, it has to be a safety violation. With multiple people nearly falling face forward due to the gaps in the pavement and decks. All of which were supposed to be addressed for this up coming season. Golf carts were offered for those who needed the extra assistance but to what extent is a pathway considered safe to walk for any person. Once the ceremony happened we were on cloud 9 of course and everything seemed to have balanced its way out. Dinner was served, the servers did an amazing job. Food was out quickly and hot. Until 9pm when I was told our prepaid bar service was no a cash bar. The owner explained that because my uncle purchased 20 bottles of wine and 4 bottles of champagne on his own accord during the hour bar break, this constituted an early discontinuation of the prepaid service. This was soon resolved but many guests paid out of pocket unfortunately. This felt and still feels like a true bait and switch in my opinion. We feel like we were cheated out of our special day. I'd say more but this is the max number of characters allowed.

My husband and I were recently married at The Overlook and our entire experience could not have been better. My mother and sister planned the wedding and were treated extremely well by everyone there as they arranged the event. Clarissa was very helpful, accessible, and communicative. The atmosphere was elegant, the food was delicious, and all staff were so helpful, warm, and kind! We loved everything so much that we returned to the restaurant 4 days later for my mother's birthday! We look forward to having many more meals and special events at The Overlook!

Slow service, steak overcooked, very old and outdated. Went in winter so did not get to experience the view.
