My first time here I am not impressed. Extremely average food. At least for what I got. Extremely spicy, so spicy I can't even eat it... Veggie rolls are super average and kind of gross.

I've been a big fan of this gem in Kent during the past 6 months. I actually found this restaurant on Yelp, desparate for something different in a Chinese menu. During Covid-19, all of us were scrambling for good food with delivery. When I looked at the menu, I found familiar Americanized Chinese dishes, however there were many other delights, such as dumplings and what I would consider "authentic" items I could order in Chinatown.[ (I verified this with my son, who lives in Chinatown (San Francisco) although I cannot attest to taste etc.]. Since I was 3/10 of a mile outside the delivery area, I called to ask if they would be willing to deliver to me. You know how some places are.. (at least I do in some cases) you call them, ask them if they deliver to your address, they yell to someone in the back if you're lucky, but they usually say 'NO' and hang up on you. Instead, I was greeted pleasantly, as I am each time I call, and was told 'Yes' (although I did hear her call back and say Maa... and I suppose she asked if it was OK). That simple Yes to delivering 3/10 of a mile outside their 5 mile radius meant the world to me during such dark days. And I was not disappointed with the meal that lasted me 3 days. I know I ordered typical items like spring rolls (so crisp and fresh), chicken fried rice (very nice, thoughtfully made), crab Rangoon (these I could tell were made w/tlc; so light & delicious), and then Kung Pao Chicken. I know, American ordering what they think is Chinese food. Well, I'm working on it little by little, but this was my safe starting point. My Gawd! I've never seen a Kung Pao prepared like this before! Such freshly cooked vegetables, and my favorite.. Zucchini was added! I am at a loss for words at how great that day was for me when I first discovered and fell in love with Yummy Garden. Since then, I have learned that they have honored requests I've made, which I didn't know were possible, for example, I don't like certain vegetables (peas bleck), and with online ordering, I happened to ask in the "special request" area: if it was at all possible, could they prepare the chicken fried rice without peas AND THEY DID! I doubt someone was sitting in the kitchen picking the peas out of the rice for me before packing it up . It made me feel like the dish was prepared for me. So use that box online. For my spring rolls, I don't want tons of plastic packets of sauces in my drawer. So I ask for homemade hot mustard sauce, which is $. 50 extra, but worth it. And if you're pretty savvy about Chinese food, if you call them, I get the feeling that if you don't see the dish on the menu, that you can ask if they can prepare it for you. Delivery is quick, and the man who brings me my order wears a mask, he's very kind, and I'm grateful to see him. I've hooked my vegetarian neighbor on their Sesame Tofu, which she swears is the best. I'm tired now. They close early if they aren't busy btw. [*disclaimer: I know very little about what is "authentic Chinese food" outside of PBS & a few articles on what Americans think Chinese food is. I know that dumplings are served in Chinatown and my son eats them a lot in San Francisco Chinatown. I don't know much about Chinatown SF other than PBS docs. I apologize if out of my ignorance & wp, I have offended anyone by posting this review. it was not my intent. I seek only to learn and be "authentic" myself.

This was low end generic Chinese food. The eggplant was not cooked all the way through, the General Tso's was just the same sweet sauce you can get at Panda Express but with lower quality stringy chicken. The Szechuan beef had almost no flavor. It tasted more like gravy. There are better Chinese places near by at a better price.

Overall awesome food served quickly and efficiently- some of the best Chinese food I've had since moving here so far. Pretty much everything I;ve gotten here so far has been great but I'd definitely recommend their soups.

It’s good, but the outside looks dingy, but the food is good and inside appears to be clean!

I like the diversity of their cuisines, which gives me a lot of choices. As a Chinese, I think their cuisine is nearly authentic. The price is not high and delivery service is good. I recommend their house special fried rice and meat mix with vegetables.

Fast service and never missing order

General Tso "chicken" was all just fat, no meat. Lunch "special" was more expensive than nearby, with lower quality. Did not enjoy.

Terrible food. Raw fried rice, seafood tastes like masked potatoes. A waste of money.Service was nice. Tried this place twice hoping they improved over the years, disappointed yet again.

They are taking COVID-19 precautions very seriously!!! Probably the most thorough precautions I've seen in any restaurant since the pandemic began. They are very sweet people as well and I ordered the big spicy chicken dish which I recommend highly

They have a dinner menu with all the standard stuff you'd expect at an American-chinese menu. Then they have a more traditional menu with stuff you don't see everywhere else.I've eaten here several times and have not been disappointed in anything I've tried.

Best Chinese food in America.! I'll put this food against another anytime. Amazing

I ordered take-out through the Yelp app for the first time for Yummy Garden, and it was super easy. The ordering and check-our process was seamless, so I would definitely recommend. As for the food, we had Pad Thai and Szechuan dumplings. Both were very good. Not to mention, the portion size on the Pad Thai was enough to feed three people. Yummy Garden definitely delivered on good food with a great value.

The roasted duck is wonderful and I like the spicy beef as well. They have a good combination of Sichuan food and Cantonese food, which are all authentic. I am feeling having food at home every time I am here. Keep up the good work ?

Very good prices. Their egg rolls are seasoned. The sweet and sour chicken is one of the better ones.
