An old time classic hotel which is well maintained. Rooms are small but well kept.Located on the river.Walkability: As near as I know, no place is closer to what happens in Marietta.
My first time in Marietta, Ohio and the river had flooded, water had gone in the hotel basement so we couldn't use the elevators, just the service elevator, the stairs that led to the basement smelled like fish the two days we were there. We were given the wrong room upon arriving (which was reserved last year, then called again in January to make sure they had the reservation.) We booked our stay about 2 weeks in advance with the request of a certain floor. When we arrived, the flooding in the area was minimal but areas were still recovering, including the hotel. The smell outside of the room was very mildewy and the elevator was broke. We had to carry our luggage up to the fourth floor via their staircase, making leaving the room very unappealing.
