As of the end of February, 2024 Tonya's in Marietta is now closed. However, her store in Williamstown, WV, is open & doing very well.

Being a southern of course I love southern food. On my first trip to Marietta I wanted to try their version of southern cooking. I knew I was at the right place because the local cops were sitting there eating when I walked in. I sat myself at the counter and was immediately greeted and was giving a suggestion of the best thing to try. The meatloaf was the special and it was very good. But of course I was gonna have to have some cake. I tried a few other pies first but they were all sold out. Typically a good sign. The cake was delicious but I am interested in returning and trying the other desserts. I will have to get there earlier! I got there as it was closing but Tonya was there and she spoke to me about my medical condition and was very interested. She was so incredibly kind. I was really touched by her character. I couldn’t say enough good things about her. I love the location. The street and the shops are adorable and well kept. Beautiful and clean city.Wheelchair accessibility: You can access the building from the street easily and there is room to put a wheelchair at the tables.

Laid back restaurant in downtown Marietta. Eggs and toast were okay. Old school diner deco could use updating but the service was good. Not busy at all.

We stopped in around 5 pm. for an early dinner. The service was great, as was the food. The waitress was friendly and diligent. They didn't have an item I requested from the menu, and there was a minor mistake with my wife's salad, but there was nothing that wasn't quickly and easily remedied. We will certainly dine at Tonya's again.

Other than waiting a bit for the food everything was perfect. I had the mushroom swiss burger and it was fantastic. The burger was just dry enough that the mushrooms complimented the burger perfectly. If your not in a rush and your looking for a full stomach this is the place to
