When you walk into a diner and it looks like a large living room with tables, you know you've found a good place.Carlyle's is such a place. There was a small wait as it was a Friday, and it was obvious that it was a popular local place. But I was sat quickly, and had already known what I wanted beforehand so ordered the Reuben. It came out quickly, and came with a side of fries.The fries were just about perfect; crispy but not hard, and seasoned but not overly salty. The Reuben was amazing. Everything about it was great, and the dressing was on the side so I could add as much as I wanted.I also got the Kentucky Derby pie, which the waitress described as "Chocolate pecan with chocolate chips" and I was instantly sold. Quite honestly probably one of the best pies I have ever had. I will definitely be returning.

We were in Marion looking for a place to eat. Stumbled on this from Google. The food is really good diner style lunch. We had a chicken wrap, reuben, cheese burger, and pork tenderloin. All the food was good quality. They have crinkle cut fries, and hand battered onion rings. Of course we had to try the macaroni salad and the cole slaw, both were good too and homemade. This place was a treasure in a strip mall setting. Looks very fancy inside and the staff was very attentive and nice. The hours of operation are 11 to 3 Monday thru Friday. Now last but not least the pie at this place is what they are famous for. The crust is so flakey and AMAZING. We had coconut cream pie, cherry pie, and blackberry cherry pie. All AMAZING!!!!! I'll go back just for pie. Lol. Enjoy this gem all.
