I went to El Salto in Maumee tonight around 8:20 (2/26/24) tonight for a takeout order. I ordered two meals. One combo dinner that was supposed to have 5 different items, had 3 items. The containers were packaged pretty sloppily. The food was not hot. The young man at the register seemed disappointed that I didn't put a tip on the tip line for my carryout order. It was my first visit to El Salto and may be my last.

This was our first time trying El Salto. It's been on our list of restaurants to check out. We will NEVER be back. We were sat in a booth that offered no breathing room. The back of the booth to the edge of the table was about 8-12 inches... it made a lot of sense why they picked us to sit in this booth after we sat down. We were very clearly the smallest people in line waiting. The salsa had a bad flavor and was the consistency of water. The food was very bland! Once they set our food down we asked for boxes and the check. The seating arrangement was so uncomfortable that we couldn't wait to get out of there. My boyfriend let our waiter know that we just had no room and were uncomfortable and the waiter laughed. Brought our food home and threw it in the trash. My cheese enchilada was off, tasted like mozzarella cheese. Save your money and go elsewhere!
