We used to frequent this establishment several times a month BEFORE it was sold. Price increases have now made this restaurant a once or twice a year stop, at the most! Under the old management, you couldn't get in the place on a Friday or Saturday, not a problem anymore. On top of that, owner is now charging a "convenience fee" for the right to use a credit card which is PETTY. There is an old saying in business, " It's better to make a fast nickel than a slow dime"

Just simply NOT worth the price. My 2nd poor experience at Timber Lodge. There's not going to be a 3rd.Soo many other restaurants at a lower price point, with much better food!Sorry for the poor review, just the truth!

First off, the service was incredible! She was very attentive. Food was very poor for the price point. $120 for king crab legs. They weren't split, they were cold and over cooked. The shell bent back and fourth. Sadly, the crab legs had no sweetness to them. In order to heat up the meat, I kept them in the drawn butter. Clam chowder was good, but cold. I ordered a old fashioned with Buffalo trace and it cost $20. A bottle of Buffalo trace is only $25. Our bill for two people was over $300, plus tip. We are ok paying that, but the food sadly didn't match the price. The positive, it was a great evening with family and our server did a great job! We won't return to this restaurant.

It's really expensive but doesn't seem.to.hsve quality steaks for the money. It is clean and has a very nice rustic feel. Be prepared to pay on the higher end.

After receiving an arrogant response from the owner regarding my review and the disingenuous invoking of God's name (also seen on other responses), I then decided to read other poor reviews. Most had the same concerns and complaints and most received rude and/or arrogant response from the owner. In my opinion, this business is out to take advantage of you. There are plenty of other places to get a good dinner with good service at reasonable prices without being hit up for a 30% gratuity PLUS an extra charge just for using a credit card. But if you make $250K or more a year, then you "might" find this place OK.The owners response to his review called it Rude, Insensitive, and False. It was NONE of these. It was the TRUTH. Further PROOF of an ARROGANT Owner. MY BILL asked for a 30% gratuity. Check for yourself if you go there. THIS IS NOT a false, rude or insensitive statement. That of the owner IS. And the extra charges for using a credit card at such a high priced place is more than insulting. We ALL know its already included in the price of the meal. And as for your staff working so hard, there are hundreds of restaurants within a few miles where employees work hard and even make "fresh baked rolls". WHO ARE YOU KIDDING ???You have NOTHING to be "Proud Of". Quite the contrary. Guess its time to take this to facebook, and all other social media sites.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt inclined to do so because of our great experience! Took my fiancé for his birthday last night; I got the prime rib and Alaskan king crab. Best prime rib I have ever had! Cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. Fiancé got the Delmonico steak, shrimp and king crab as well. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and SO juicy! The Dijon vinaigrette ? just amazing! We got a bottle of Riesling and it was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. Meg was our server and she was great! 10/10 I will be highly recommending to family and friends! I can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu!

Not a fan of the fish dinner, tasted bland and like greasy crisco. The potato skins were seasoned very unevenly. Some had almost nothing and others way too much pepper. Not worth the high price.

Do not order the fish fry. The amount of ammonia coming off of this fish was unbelievable, we warmed it up in the air fryer for an early dinner the day after. We called and spoke with someone at the restaurant. That said, because we had taken this home. There was nothing they could do about it...sorry

Food above average, but for EXCESSIVE 5+ star prices. EVERYTHING overpriced !!! Waitress became annoying bothering us every 5 minutes. They expect a 30% gratuity after charging an additional fee for credit card. This is so insulting. I'll go to Bob Evans where the service and prices deserve a 30% gratuity. If you want to be a chump and be USED, by all means go to Timber Lodge.

My wife and I came up for Valentine's Day dinner. I've gotta say we were super disappointed this time. We usually come up a couple times a year, but this may be our last. I ordered the bone in ribeye (79$) and my wife got the New York strip ( $49) and the stuffed mushrooms. The steaks were quite possibly the worst steaks we have had anywhere. The quality was that of a Applebee's. If your selling $80 steaks they need to be $80 quality. Longhorns steaks are by far way better cuts of meat, and a bone in ribeye is only $30.Our server was just terrible, we are usually pretty forgiving and understanding of servers knowing they probably overworked, but she straight out just ignored us. Never offered refills, she never even checked on us after the food was brought out. My wife had to stop her more than once for any type of service. They were not even that busy. She spent the majority of her time talking to one particular table in the corner. She never even offered dessert. When we got our bill we were sticker shocked. They added extra service fees, convince fees, tax $214.00Just all around really disappointed. And the more we have had time to think about it, the more it upsets us.
