“Best thing about Middlefield. My perfect breakfast is the Egg white goat cheese wrap and I love the Matcha with honey and whip. Can't forget those espresso brownies. Best service with a smile. “The fry pies were SO GOOD! We saw some at another place in the area but they looked like they are baked and then sit for a few days, and we wanted bakery-fresh. The Nauvoo Family Market ones not only were wonderfully fresh, they were bigger than the other ones we saw (for a similar price). We were a little worried about selection because we couldn't make it in until five minutes to closing, but there was still a great selection and they had fabulous taste and texture. We got lemon cream cheese, strawberry cream cheese, peach cream cheese, chocolate coconut Bavarian, blueberry cream cheese, and pumpkin. They're all AMAZING! The pumpkin is especially tasty--tastes like a pumpkin pie but has more of the texture of a cream pie filling. I mused that if pumpkin pies were like their filling, that'd be my favorite pie ever.“
“My daughter and I stopped here at the suggestion of several people and reviews and it was everything and more than we had been told! It is a very tiny shop without room to really sit and eat in so we got a bunch of goodies to go and had a car picnic breakfast that was out of this world. Our goody box included glazed donuts, a strawberry donut, a maple bacon donut, and a caramel apple muffin. She devoured the maple bacon and said it was one of the best she had ever eaten. The bacon was cooked thick and crispy and the maple was not too heavy on the donut. I loved my strawberry donut. They add a very light whipped cream type icing with it and it makes for the most wonderful taste when you bite into it. We shared the caramel apple muffin and could not finish it as we were so full from our donuts we had eaten. But we both agreed we needed more of these muffins. They were like mini apple spice cakes. good sized pieces of apple in them and then drizzled in a delicious buttery caramel - but not overpowering. Great with milk! OH and speaking of milk, They have milk from a local dairy and it is the best I have ever had!!!! Such a great treat. Must go here agin.“
“I love to cook but absolutely hate to bake. My MIL was always baking, almost daily, she loved it. I looked forward to her goodies all the time. She passed away in 2021 and I miss her and the goodies so much. Kevin can't take her place but he sure can satisfy my yearning for fresh baked desserts. I love his creations and him. “I have fond memories of being younger visiting this place. My visit the other day only rekindled thoes memories I wax poetic of from time to time. This is one of thoes little shops you walk in and smells of fresh baked breads cured meats and if you listen close enough I can swear I heard a mandolin playing in the distance. Stopped for the Italian sub unfortunately was to early for the rolls to be done baking but they did manage to make one for me. So good! I highly suggest a visit to stock up in your Italian cooking needs as well as a good lunch.“
“Stop there for breakfast buffet many times over the years with my family and the food is great. Just good old Amish style home cooking. I stop there before I hit up the mower dealer that works on my commercial mowers for my landscape company sometimes also. Plenty of parking there when I go out there with my truck and 18' enclosed trailer. Love that place.“
