The atmosphere is great, the owner and his family are awesome people, and the food is PHENOMENAL. We drive 40 minutes every week just to eat here and it’s 100% worth the drive. If I could give this place 20 stars I would. If you haven’t had their food yet, you need to! You won’t regret it.

The restaurant looked closed from the outside. There were boxes piled up just inside the front door. The decor and ambience was pretty grim. But the servers (owners?) were friendly and the food was quite good!

We used to go to the Heath location until they close. Now we drive to this one because the food and service is amazing. The owner is so nice and comes out to greet his guests and is incredibly friendly. So worth our 40 minute drive :)

I went for dinner and got butter, chicken, garlic, naan, vegetable samosas, and the rice that came with it. It was probably if not, one of my favorite meals I ever had and it’s really my first introduction to Indian food and absolutely love it and will 1000% be back. A great place to get food with very friendly people.

This restaurant is hands down the most delicious and reliable takeout option in the city of Mount Vernon. As a person who has struggled to find a great place to order takeout from after moving to Mount Vernon from Columbus, Bombay Garden is my family’s go-to option. I highly recommend both their Greek and Indian options, especially the lamb gyro, chicken korma, butter chicken, and the spanakopita. They are not available for delivery through door dash but we have had their food delivered by Diner Dashers and have always had fast and reliable delivery. If you order from here you will not be disappointed!

Never failed in the year I’ve been going. My ULTIMATE favorite restaurant in Mount Vernon. Mind you I’ve lived in the tri-state area so I know good Indian when I taste it. I love the aloo tiki and the Mataar paneer. Not to mention the soft delicious ? melt in your mouth naan bread. And their customer service is one of the best. Beautiful family owned!

First off, let me say I'm super excited to have such a wonderful, authentic Indian food option so close to us now! This place has some delicious options. I like mildly spicy and chose a 4! The sampler was delicious and a fun taste trip with on item being on the spicier side. We enjoyed mango lassi's and chose lamb dishes (curry and brogen Josh) and they were both excellent. We chose a 4 and 5 but will up next time one or two levels next time we order. There will definitely be a next time! Very friendly and down to earth owners and cooks.

Don’t let the atmosphere fool you it may look a little dingy but it’s some of the best Indian food around and the chai tea is spectacular. Personally I think the spices are well balanced and well mixed though I usual stick to spice level 8 or 10 depending on the curry and if it’s a sweet curry or not. I have not tried their Greek but their Indian is spectacular.

I love the people here, we don't eat out often but sometimes my son or daughter and I will sneak a visit in lol but this is always our first choice.they always know what we want! I know they are going through some rough times right now but hopefully they can stay strong and these hard times will pass. We love the sagganaki, my son and myself get one for each of us lol

My whole family became very very sick. It was a nightmare. We used to love this place. They advertise things on their menu that they don't have or do. Like the Tandori is supose to be on a sizzling skillet with rice on side and Naan, they just throw it all together on a plate mostly just rice, with pita bread. For 14.00. If you order extra garlic Naan, you get old jar garlic overly slathered on some pita. I am just in shock at the last few visits. The sganaki (9.00) was watery soup, the chicken, oh my gosh the chicken! It was literally all gristle and blood veins, all the worse parts of the meat. My son is now hesitant to eat chicken. The cups were stained and sticky. The payment book was sooooo disgustingly filthy. There were kids running BAREFOOT in and out of the kitchen, and a child was serving also. The chef comes out and stands over you making sure your eating the food and liking it. When I said I didn't want a Togo box for my left overs, he started asking me why amd if I liked the food. Extremely uncomfortable. All while two of their young children are bickering and yelling in the background. I don't understand why none of this is being honestly said? I'm in shock, and confused on why they don't have to follow the health departments rules. What makes this restaurant diffrent from the others. Why don't they have to follow health standards? I am so mad at how sick my family got. And how much we spend for 3 people. $70. It's like a smack in the face and Guts for that matter, of what this place once was. I miss the old owner, and the way the restaurant was ran, and kept up, cleaned etc. The food tastes bad compared to the past owners food. Such a sad loss.BEWARE! And don't say you weren't warned. Finally someone is being honest.

It's Indian food in Mount Vernon.Overall the food isn't bad just not what we're used to. Some of my comments on their dishes might be because of regional variations, but not all.The "atmosphere" is like being in someone's living room and they serve you food from their kitchen. The samosas are great, the samosa condiments are funny, though. The tamarind sauce was very watery and the mint sauce was colored Christmas green with food dye and smelled different. The lamb dish had gyro meat instead of bone-in lamb chunks and the sauce was watery. The raita had extra vegetables in it, which we've never seen before but it was good. Lastly, the paneer had very few pieces of cheese and was low on spinach but still tasted good.
