Other than the parking lot and the drive thru potholes love this place and food! Wish they would get the baked potatoes in or do like a potato cakes. And just need better straws for the milkshakes too!
Recently I visited Rax (well, "visited" is a strong word) via a livestream hosted by two brothers on a great American road trip (again, "great" is a strong word) to relive their childhood at one of the last remaining Rax locations. After a windy detour to Wilbur Wright's birthplace and a unexpected delay caused by a failing of the self-proclaimed navigator's directional "vibes," the brothers and their virtual entourage arrived at Rax (if only we'd had audio to hear their reaction to reaching the destination of their pilgrimage). Waiting for them at the restaurant was a smaller, but no less passionate real-life entourage. Group photos and kind greetings ensued; this long-anticipated trip had finally happened and it was as momentous an occasion as it could be, for taking place in a weathered parking lot.As the brothers chowed down on their Rax feast, the elder proclaimed, "They deserve to still be in business." The younger stated, "I'm enjoying it." From an outsider's perspective, the meal seemed satisfying enough, and expectations were exceeded. The experience would have been much more immersive if the dining room was open, but for this adventure that was years in the making, we'll take what we can get.Rax may not be the pinnacle of all road trip destinations, but on that Sunday afternoon it brought together thousands of people from across the world. It was chaos and laughter and roast beef all the way down. Despite not actually being there in person, I had a wonderful Rax experience.Just as the elder brother signed off from the livestream, I will sign off from this review with: "We wanted to go to Rax, and we went to Rax."

The food is actually great, however today I went for my regular dinner sandwich and onion petals. The onion petals were $4.09 for a styro foam cup 3/4 the way full. I wonder how onions are more expensive than beef. They are nuts if they think I will be returning for the onion petals. How is this justified ?

When this was Rancher's it was my favorite roast beef place. Since Rax took over the quality and menu a similar but a little bit has changed and it's not quite as good. Fries often come out soggy. It would be nice if they'd open the inside back up. This place is hands down way better than any Arby's. I recommend trying it if you like roast beef.

Great food and service but the building could use a remodel, when I first pulled up I thought the place was closed down for 10 years, the building was in such disrepair.

My daughter was trying to get a job there but one of the employees hung up on her when she called to check on her app and now she is slandering her name so they won't hire her my buddy stopped eating there because one of the male employees came outside to try and fight him seems like the place won't pass health code that's why they won't open the inside ranchers should have never sold the place a icon of the community has died off because of this
Place is Delicious, they have way better roast beef than Arby’s. Highly recommended!

It's been open for a little while. You still can't go in as of October 2023 that I could see? It's pretty decent food. Kinda a flash back of the past. Prices seem a little high for what you get. I make the trip every so often because it's in a area that doesn't have anything else so it's a special trip. I'll return. Their subs are good but wish they were bigger.
