Absolutely incredible experience. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. The atmosphere was really nice and the cleanliness was on point. We had a couple glasses of wine, shared the egg rolls, and shepherd’s pie and the food was the best we’ve had in a long time. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the other food options. What a hidden gem!

A dear friend and I enjoyed a marvelous meal last night at 1922 On the Square. The food was delicious and a feast for the eyes and stomach...our service was spectacular! Happy fourth anniversaty and may you enjoy many more years of providing such awesome food and fellowship opportunities for our community! Please keep the Snap pea salad on the menu!

We had an absolutely delightful experience at 1922 on the Square for dinner. We shared the charcuterie tray first - which was a generous portion of breads, nuts, jams, honey, fruits, meats and cheeses. Beautiful presentation! We then enjoyed the 8oz filet Oscar-style which was prepared to absolute perfection! Perfect temperature, al dente asparagus, and tender sweet crab - so amazing! We paired it with the mushrooms - which were seriously the BEST sautéed mushrooms we have *ever* had. Flash sautéed with the most amazing garlic reduction. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! But the absolute best part of the evening was our kind, informative, attentive, and friendly service provided by Ashley A - she was a standout in our dining experience! She shared information on the historical significance of the establishment, was able to walk us through the menu, was consistently proactive in anticipating our needs while dining, and was just overall a delight of a person! Top notch, blue ribbon, gold star all the way for Ashley A! Of special mention - we also had a delightful interaction with the lovely blonde hostess who manage the floor with excellence, grace and compassion despite some unruliness of other guests. She is a superstar as well! Having traveled from a distance to join the crowd at 1922 - I can say the miles were absolutely worth it tonight. 5 stars all the way!

Went to celebrate a birthday on a Friday night. We reserved a table and still waited next to the coat closet for over 20 minutes. Dining area was fairly loud - difficult to have a conversation across the table. Charcuterie was very good, however our entries were below par. The duck was rubbery and extremely overcooked. Brussel sprouts had french fries in them. Service was fine, but not amazing.

We went there because we had tickets to a show at the Midland Theater. We won't come back. One dinner entree came out cold - I mean cold. This was after they forgot to bring it out altogether, so when it came out, it hadn't been in the oven at all. It took almost 30 minutes to get it back, just about the time we wanted to leave. Another entree was lukewarm, at best. Our waitress kept on apologizing and said the manager wanted to talk with us, but then she said he was too busy to. They did take care of the issues with the food via the bill (one entree was not charged, another was discounted). However, we waited too long to get water refilled, drinks orders, and even consideration for dessert. Overall, just a negative experience.

1922 is a very good value with a menu diverse in both offerings and price. It has improved greatly over the past two or three years. I look forward to trying their $34 prime rib which is offered only on Sundays. When we visited on a recent Saturday, the place was slammed and service was very slow. In any event, in the winter always request a seat in the dining room and away from the bar door which makes it uncomforably cold

It was my first time eating here and my Mother and I loved it. I got the scallop appetizer and it was cooked perfectly and it had such a pop of citrus flavor. The duck and lasagna were excellent as well. Shoutout to our server Olivia she was great! I'm looking forward to going again and trying something new.

Wonderful food and fantastic service! Thank you for making our evening enjoyable. We tried the carrots and Brussel sprouts and they were fantastic! So glad we began our rock evening at 1922.

1922 is a one star buffet with five star prices. Let me explain. My wife and I went to 1922 on a Saturday after Valentine's Day. We started with cocktails. Both of our glass had a sticky substances that kept getting stuck to our hands and the napkins they were placed on. The drinks themselves were good, no big deal move on. The server brough out some toasted garlic bread to start the night. It was toasted, but wasn't warm at all. It was fine. For an appetizer we decided to try the jerk chicken eggrolls. This might have been the most repulsive thing we have ever eaten. The chicken and vegetable filling had been cooked for so long that it was beginning to turn into a weird paste. If you've ever eaten fried liver it almost had that type of texture, but it wasn't liver...We both went with steaks and had their fingerling potatoes and Mac & Cheese for sides. Based on our experience so far we both ordered medium steaks figuring they wouldn't get it right, we were correct. Both came out medium-rare which was how we like it. The steaks were fine, but needed some seasoning. The potatoes were overcooked, dry, and devoid of any seasoning. The Mac & Cheese was cold, what little cheese sauce there was wasn't creamy, and for some reason there was un-melted yellow shredded cheddar cheese on top even though the description said it was "white cheddar". Coincidently, the couple sitting next to us sent back their food because they were also served cold food. The food was served so quickly that my only guess is that everything at 1922 that can be prepared in advance is cooked and placed in a buffet style warmer in the back and left to die. If you've ever eaten at buffet or a pot luck and you see all the food sitting in the warmer looking completely dehydrated. Yeah... that basically sums up our experience with 1922.We ended up spending $200 ($165 bill + $35 tip). This place wants so badly to be a up-scale restaurant with their menu selections and descriptions, but in reality it's just an overpriced lazy buffet serving cold, dead, unseasoned food.

My wife and I ate there tonight for the first time. The food was stupendous. The egg rolls with jerk chicken, which were very delicious. The steaks were done to perfection. The portion size of the fingerling potato could have fed 3 people. Their fresh from the oven garlic bread melted in your mouth.

Valentine dinner, so it was a limited menu. I was surprised that the menu was so limited last evening. Price per person was $90 and it was NOT reflected in the entree choices. The steak offered was a TOP SIRLOIN rather than a filet mignon as the price would suggest. They really tried to dress everything up but most of it fell flat, including the tasteless purées under nearly everything.Service was rushed as our appetizer and salad hit the table at the same time and the plates were not cleared until the entree came.I do not mind spending money on food for a holiday date night but the $90 per person price normally comes with better service and better steak selection.1922 on the square will definitely not be included in dinner plans any time soon.

My wife and I ate there tonight and their food was stupendous. The home-made garlic bread was soft and melt in your mouth. The steaks were done to prefecture. The fingerling potatoes portions could have feed 3 people. The alcohol pours were also appreciated. We will be back the next time we are in town.

We've been here a couple of times and always had a good experience. It's a nice place with a friendly staff. This time our appetizer was excellent, as was the wine. The bartender was outstanding. Salads and desert were good. Steak was just ok. Cooked correctly, but sadly just wasn't a good filet (tough, not tender). Hopefully this was just an anomaly.
