Partner and I tried this place last night, 04MAY24, on a whim. I had the Reuben sandwich with a side of hand cut fries and my partner had an order of wings and hush puppies.Reuben was perfectly executed. Bread was toasted perfectly for me, not to soft yet not like eating a bathroom tile. Sauerkraut and Corned beef were very flavorful and delicious. The fries were 'fair' style and were outstanding. Provided side of vinegar packets went very well with the seasonings on the fries. Portion was a great value. Partner ate most of them and she really enjoyed them.Restaurant was clean and orderly. Bathrooms were also clean.Partner and I are committed to exploring all Newark Ohio has to offer food wise, but Baba's will always be the backup. "An hour wait? Na lets go to Baba's."Will definitely be back.

Food is the slam dunk at Baba’s. It is hard to find a good restaurant that is clean, food yummy, and reasonably priced! I definitely recommend this place if you love subs. You can tell the owners take pride in making food and provide exceptional customer service.

Food took a little bit to come out but was well worth the wait. The Philly and the Rueben were excellent. Would definitely come again.

I was totally disappointed with this place. I know it was a busy night. But, they need to check to see what is happening in their area and make sure to have additional staff. The corn beef on my Reuben was extremely dry. I picked through the sandwich and picked out the not so dried pieces. And then that night after the concert when I looked at my receipt and saw that I was charged a "Dine in Fee" of $1.00, I was totally surprised and amazed. I am sorry I took a chance and tried this restaurant!

The food is amazing. The front counter woman was amazing. The food was fresh and homemade. The kitchen operated at the pace of a snail so if you are in a hurry, not the place to go. Additionally, carry out might be better as it’s all high tops. Finally, the cost is pretty high. I had a smash burger, fries and fountain drink and it was $20.30 before a tip. It’s a shame the there are issues and it’s way too expensive because the quality is high. I understand the rising costs of food, but over $20 for counter service is truly outrageous.

Absolute winner! Initially the menu prices feel high, but portion sizes are generous and it's of the absolute highest quality!!! The fries are freshly cut by hand and taste like the best fries you've ever had at the State fair! Each week the owner comes up with a chef's special and this week it's smash burgers - Two perfectly cooked patties on some sort of artisan bun alnd smothered in cheese, secret sauce, and loads of other toppings! Completely and totally perfect! ?

Crappy day in Ohio and didn't get anything out for dinner. At the high recommendation of my son-in-law, decided to order take out from Baba's. Ordered the Philly Cheese Steak to split with Mrs., hand cut fries and Mac bites. Huge mistake on splitting that sandwich. Was done with 1/2 and wanted more. It is delicious. I would order the fries again and ask they are cooked a little longer.

Best Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. Was introduced to it by a coworker and absolutely love it. One of my favorite places to eat in Newark.

The best Philly sandwiches in town. The place is spotless and spacious. We had many birthday parties there and it was amazing. The owners, Omar and Tara are awesome and always have a smile on their faces.

I loved my reuben sandwich, perfectly toasted, plenty of meat. Meat is in small pieces not slices. This was fine with me but did make it messy. Fries were good.
