The day we were there the lobby where you order was completely full and there was only one person working. They quit making my wife's favorite a Sunday cone which I understand that most people don't even know what it is. And the lobby was really dirty I hope the rest of it wasn't. I've been going there for 40 plus years to that location whether he this is the original owner or not. Great location. Right by the ball field. Right across from the Y. There is no dine in at this location it's all take out other than that they do have a couple of picnic tables behind the building.

Best place to go in the summer for ice cream treats and coneys. Unfortunately, just like everything else, their prices are going up. It's not really a cheap place to go anymore for a meal of milkshakes, coneys and mushrooms. ?

Stoppes in for a quick lunch. Got a coney and Chicken sandwich. Both were the same as I remember. Nice to see some things stay the same!

Great Place, Food is Good. They even have doggie cups for the pets with Ice Cream and a Dog Bone Biscuit. My Dogs Love the trips to Dairy Isle. they have picnic tables for outdoor seating, these could be kept up better and cleaned regularly, but other than that, people are friendly, service is good and fast.

Everytime I've gone to this dairy isle something is broken or they are out of what I'm looking for. Not only did I wait for 5 minutes to even get greeted they had no sign saying there chocolate ice cream machine is broken. I'm tired of wasting my time with this place as they just like to waste mine by never actually having anything that's on there menu nor take the time to put a sign up as you wait for 5+ minutes on service with no line to order.

Loved it I got a Smores twister that is my favorite.

Great soft serve and quite a popular hot spot for cooling down. Service was a bit slow as they seemed understaffed. Will definitely try again another time.

Love all 4 dairy isles!! Super classic, old school Mom & Pop ice cream shops! Super sweet family! Worked for them as a teen and take my kids as a tradition now ? Not typical fast food, fresh and homemade so be patient when ordering hot items ❣️ but completely worth it! Recommend their coneys and shredded chicken sandwiches but their burgers are delicious as well!

My family and I really enjoy the Dairy Isle and it's great that multiple locations exist so we're always close to one.

Great service. The 3 girls kept the line moving! The shakes were cool and yummy on a hot day like today.

One of Newark's best ice cream takeouts. This place has been around as long as I can remember. They are open seasonally and the majority of the time when you pull up to the building they are packed. Wait times can be a bit long on occasion but that's most likely due to the fact they also serve food outside of ice cream. Food is mostly quick fryer food or burgers/hotdogs type stuff. I have never had a bad meal here and could recommend enough to try out different stuff on their menu. They offer several flavors of ice cream and tons of shake and twister options all of which are really good. They typically hire high school aged kids and it's often their first job, keeping that in mind staff and service can vary but in general are usually pretty great.

THIS REVIEW is for the CHERRY VALLEY location.Worst service I've ever had. Smallest menu and it's completely incorrect. I ordered 12 wing dings on 3 separate times just for them to give me 5 wings. I have to explain to them that their menu says 12 wings after I've already ordered and this last time the employee said "our wing dings come in 3 flats and 2 drumbs" like I was stupid. They can't read their own menu because it's so small. Should not have an option for 12 wings at all if you're only going to give me 5 then make me wait another 20 minutes while you cook another 5. Actually be prepared to serve your menu. Completely astonished that they are open under the Diary Isle name.
