“I've been going here for ages for comfort food. The service is calm and the atmosphere is relaxed. I live in Texas now and try to get here when I come back to visit family.While the dining room is still closed, there is a small group of tables to eat at on site and the food is packaged to go. This worked out great because didn't need to ask for a doggie bag when I filled up on cream cheese blossoms like I always do.“
“I've eaten here a few times. Ok, for instance, I love the bone in Chinese ribs. This place has them! And they are perfection. Slow roasted, with that red glaze. Seriously good. Also, most (all) hot and sour soup is vinegary as heck. China Star's hot and sour is loaded with mushrooms, has a great taste, and not all full of vinegar flavor. I really, really like this place!“
“Everyone should try this place as it's so delicious, fresh, & flavorful. I live nearby and my child goes to school up the road. Always wanted to stop in, so glad we finally did. I got the salmon & my kid got the lordstown sushi roll, we also tried the crab Rangoon. Everything was quite delicious ?.The service was friendly, polite, &attentive by the owner's kind son. The owner himself also checked on us, & introduced himself. Hendricks is very hard working, charismatic and passionate about his cooking and life itself. The food and the family running it are refreshing, delightful and an asset to the area. Please go try it and support this local gem!
