The paczki at Gibson's is the best! The pastry is flaky and flavorful, and the filling is excellent! They're full to overflowing. Plus, it's great to support a business that's not only over 100 years old, but they also took down the evil empire of Oberlin College! That's priceless!

Very dated market. It seems they are trying to keep with the original theme, but it actually feels old/dirty, not nostalgic. Most of the confectionary items were simply chocolate cover nuts but labeled as something fancier. Prices are by weight, which takes way too long to order, when purchasing one of multiple items.Vegetarian options: Candy shop, beware of nuts if you have allergies.

Very friendly staff, everything we've purchased here was great. Except for the spong candy, it was pretty stale.

Best donuts around. Made right upstairs. The whole wheat donut is very good if you’re a sourcream or plain fan.

Gibbons Bakery has such amazing baked goods. We ordered two pies for Christmas. Both were great. Their rolls and cookies are a must have. Its important to support this small business!

Went in to just get some donuts, and the donuts I got were good. Service was okay I guess. Person with me got a bagel and asked for cream cheease but the worker only put it on one side for some reason. A bit pricey here.

Great candy selection, sandwich deli available and small selection of goods to choose from.
I was in town to check out the college, took a turn down a street and there I was facing Gibsons.Once inside I selected two cookies from the case . The cookies were reasonably priced, but a little dry and crumbly. They also carried non food items in the shop.

This is a great little bakery in Oberlin. When we stopped in, we asked what pastry they were known for and told the apple fritter. I have had apple fritters from several places around my hometown including apple orchards and none of them compare to Gibsons. There were nice size chunks of apple in them and they were the best I had ever eaten. I highly recommend this bakery when in Oberlin.
