This place has really taken a nose dive compared to what it used to be .. so many better Mexican places in town. Not worth the time at this place .. food has zero seasoning, very bland.

There was a time when it felt like El Camino ruled the local Mexican food scene, and Sky is a time capsule of that bygone era. With its location completely out of the way, it's very easy to forget they even exist. But if you find yourself particularly hangry on a Saturday afternoon, I suggest popping in to enjoy the friendly service and insanely fast, and marginally good food. We recently tried their take on birria tacos, which claimed to have Mac & Cheese on the menu, but instead just had a *lot* of molten cheese inside. The meat was tender, but the dipping consommé was flavorless and disappointing. The eggs & chorizo on the other hand were delicious and made me happy we arrived during their brunch hours. All in all, nothing to write home about, but a good choice for slightly heavy, overcooked Mexican food in a very off the beaten path location. Great if you're nearby, but I would not go out of my way to visit.

So,I have been to this place 3 times, in the span of 6 years. My brother raves about this place, so I keep giving it a try. Every time, it is an epic failure. The positives: The place is clean, the staff is nice. That's it for the positives. Now the negatives; The servers, while nice, aren't very attentive. You have to stop them to ask for a refill, even if there are only two tables in the restaurant. The other negative, which is 95% of this review; the food. It is absolutely bland, awful, and tasteless. This is the furthest thing from authentic Mexican food I've ever eaten. I got the lunch combo of a chicken taco, Chile rellenos, and guacamole salad. You don't get a choice of corn or flour tortillas ( I prefer soft corn) , but hard corn or soft flour. I opted for flour. The food took quite a while to get to the table, about 20 minutes. It was not worth the wait. The chicken was bland and dripping water all over the plate. Absolutely NO seasoning on it whatsoever. It was the consistency of canned chicken. It was hot in temperature, though. The guacamole was not fresh and was very, very cold, almost as if it was frozen previously. The Chile rellonos was disgusting. I'm not sure what flavor profile they were going for, but it literally tasted like eggplant parmasean. Unappealing and over-priced in my opinion. There are far better Mexican restaurants in the area, I truly don't get the appeal of this one. I can only assume the Margaritas make the food bearable, as that's what I hear is the best thing there. I have given this place 3 tries. Well, 3 strikes...you're out. I will not be going back. I'd rather give my hard earned dollars to a place that doesn't insult the palette of its customers. Seriously, really bad food.

Was told they are under new management now. Charge for extra chips and salsa. They chips were half broken and the salsa was watery. New management also took the frozen Jumbo margarita off the special. The regular margarita is the same just not blended. Definitely do not recommend this place anymore, and this will be my last dinner here.

Please hire someone experienced to make your menu online more appealing. When ordering online there's absolutely 0 options to add a side, and extra of somebody like sour cream, everything must bBe ordered as is. Not even a special instructions section. At least add it to DoorDash or Grub Hub. I'm

We love El Camino Sky. Their food is always top notch. We love eating there but recently got take out and it was just as amazing!

Loved it!! First, such a pretty hidden gem. Second, the margaritas were strong and tasty which was perfect.. and the food was delicious and tasted very fresh. Our waitress was very nice. But what impressed me the most was how fast our food came out, holy cow! Amazing experience and will definitely be back :) I ordered the spicy chicken Chimichanga and cheese quesadilla with a house margarita.

Went to restaurant on a Wednesday evening. Large portions but food was bland at best. Not what i expected from Mexican influenced cuisine. Also had purchased a gift certificate in October of 2018, because of Covid, have not used. Tried tonight and manager said only good for 6 months after purchase date. What???

Ordered online to pick up food after work. Instead, they prepared the order as they received it, totally ignoring my request to pick it up after 5PM. Do you know what happens to chimichangas that sit for over 90 minutes? They turn into a cold, greasy, gloppy, inedible mess. I almost forgot the greasy bag of stale chips - yuck. Is this the best you can do? Can the staff really not count backwards from the pick-up time to the time it takes to prepare a dish (I'm guessing about five minutes, based on the look of the "food"), and then serve it hot at the time the customer wants to pick it up? Never had this experience before with any of the dozens of orders I've placed online at several other restaurants. Never, ever again!
