Ordered a chicken salad on an everything bagel, asked to toast the bagel and the gal says "we steam them". Um...ok... I guess it's a college thing. So, first of all the whole sandwich was steamed, wrapped and bagged. FIRST of all, chicken salad is not designed to be eaten HEATED. Then between the soggy everything bagel there was a tablespoon of warm scantily chickenized filling. I was hungry, it was 6 bucks so I ate it. Yuck. Warm pap between soggy everything bagle halves was kinda gross. I'm surprised anybody would enjoy that type of sandwich.

This place is very popular with the Miami students, especially after a night on the town. Expect to wait for your order but the food is good. There is seating outside, which can be fantastic on a nice day. Go see why so many college kids eat here.Parking: Availability of parking depends on when you go. Parking is free in the evenings, but pay during the day. Paid parking is very inexpensive. You can use coins or a parking app. Almost always less than a dollar to park.

I was really craving a bagel so I read the reviews and walked over. I just wanted a toasted bagel with cream cheese. They had a banana nut bagel, and since I’ve never tried that flavor in a bagel I thought I’d give it a try. Come to find out, they steam their bagels, they don’t toast them!?!?!! Who wants a soggy bagel?!?!? Not only was it soggy, it was pretty bland. I may as well have ordered a plain bagel. And the cream cheese was also not good, it was kinda rubbery wherever it touched the outside (ie the bagel hole). I will have to wait until I leave this area to try and find a good bagel if steamed bagels are a thing here. At this point I’ll even take an Einsteins bagel, they at least toast their bagels and the cream cheese is good. Definitely don’t come here unless you want/like a soggy bagel.

Amazing ambiance and bagel combinations. Local legend that is so good it has been copycatted in other states!

The Bagel & Deli Shop is a beloved uptown business in Oxford. When moving my daughter into Miami University our family tried for the first time. Obviously it was slammed, but this is not the creation for my subpar review. When entering there is a sign to get your chips and drink first. With a very hectic situation I missed the sign. I waited in line and ordered a BLT. Although busy the line moved pretty well.Once at the counter a young staff woman checked my family out. When asked about chips and drink she had a sour look on her face. She then pointed to the sign in disgust. I ended up just leaving it alone and did not get. She took my name to later call the order. There are a few tables outside, but most were sitting on nearby steps of the liquor store. It was hot, we were hungry and I'm sure impatient. Itv took around 20 minutes to hear our order called and have the bag pushed through the window. Nothing was friendly about the process. The sandwich was a complete let down. The bagels are non traditional and moist due to steaming them. I did not care for my plain whatsoever. Rest of the family thought it was just ok.2.5 rounding down and I will likely not return. Please get staff that's not rude to customers.

6 people making bagels there is a 45 minute wait due to them making 1 bagel every 3 minutes and their are 20 people waiting outside for their order from Bagel and Deli.

A wide variety of fillings placed on a bagel of your choice, then steamed to melty goodness. This store has been in its present location since I was a child. It continues to be a very special treat when I go home to Oxford.

We came this morning to try Sam’s sunrise which is eggs and cheese on a bagel. It was good. The staff were nice & they had good and happy energy even tho the place was full and busy.
