Food was great , service friendly, professional, and timely. Ambiance was open space could be kind of noisy if crowded. Almost feel like interacting between tables would be welcome, because of a close proximity and open space. Great place for a glass of wine with the meal, and conversation.

Nice ambiance and popular place. Was quite busy but service was still good. We had some wine, enjoyed the option for the wine flight. We got the gnocchi and a pizza. The gnocchi was a red sauce with vegan sausage cut up and pepperoni. It was good, nothing fabulous. The pizza we got was a mushroom pizza with vegan cheese and truffle oil. This has great flavor,l and loved the crust. Only issue was the pizza was seriously drenched in oil. Yes the oil was delicious but it was dripping, soaked in oil, and a puddle was left behind.

We went for Sunday brunch and had a great time. Food was good, as well as the service and drinks. However, we also ordered a pizza and it was pretty disappointing. Lack of flavor in both the crust and sauce, toppings were scarce, and size was small. The combination of these issues don't warrant the price of the pies. Would recommend trying their other stuff and steering clear of the pizzas!

Went for brunch and the food was delicious. Best chicken and waffles I’ve had! Mimosa flight was nice and the breakfast pizza was also tasty. It was pretty busy noon on Sunday, so a reservation is a good idea if you’re looking for brunch.

We tried there pizza for the first time, I would call it traditional style with very thin crust. We used Google maps to direct us there and it landed us about a block off. They are located on a corner with a large parking lot behind them, but on a Saturday night you might have trouble finding a place to park there. The pizza was very tasty and only took them 15 minutes to have it ready for us. My only complaint was the crust was too thin to my liking ....but that's just me. I will order from them again when in the area.

I've never been disappointed with the quality of the food or service here. Excellent wine list and cocktails plus seasonal specialties. I live well over an hour away and it's worth the drive. Every. Single. Time. I cannot recommend Basil highly enough. By far my favorite place to eat in northern Ohio.

Excellent place for an upscale/professional Lunch.

We recently got a take out order for the truly excellent ultra meaty “Kevin Bacon” and an “Athena” which was a Grecian delight not unlike other Mediterranean style pizzas in flavor, though the crusts were rather thin…. Instead of thin & crispy they were more like thin & soggy. ?Regardless, these two pizzas were delish and both paired well with each other. Will eat again.

We very much enjoyed our lunch at Basil Pizza & Wine Bar. We had a special called Irish Jig Sliders, two appetizers, the meatballs and the baked Brie. We also ordered the large charcuterie platter. We were asked if we wanted it all at once or if we wanted it to come out spaced. We said we'd like it spaced, but it ended up nearly all at once and we had a ton of food on the table and it suddenly felt like a rushed meal instead of an opportunity to relax and enjoy the food. The food was good though, just not as appreciated as much as it could have been. We both agreed that we wouldn't order the sliders again, as they were our least favorite. They were a bit greasy and I don't think the flavored actually meshed well. The potatoes they were served with were delicious! I wish we could have had some information about the charcuterie board, as it had a couple of really wonderful meats and a cheese that was very good, but our waitress was not very attentive. She was fine, did her job, but very quickly and not very thoughtfully. Maybe she was too busy? The atmosphere was fine, and although we prefer a full booth that feels a little more intimate, it was private enough since the tables nearby also only had two people at each. We definitely want to go back. I have to say, the sauce on the Wagyu meatballs was amazing!

The food and atmosphere were both great. The coffee was exceptionally poor. Either refresh the pots more often or don't have it sit so long on extremely hot stoves. Was there at 11:30

So disappointed. Pizza way under cooked and no taste , pasta & sauce very bland, same with soup. They have a whole section of sangria on menu but then say we don’t serve Sangria in winter.

We went for an early dinner as first time visitors to Basil. Upon entering, we saw a mostly empty restaurant. The hostess was training someone so it was a bit of a wait and disjointed. When the hostess did greet us she asked if we had a reservation (which we did not) and then said we could sit at the high top bar near the entrance. We politely declined and asked to wait for a standard height table to open. The restaurant had around 10-15 tables sitting empty in the standard dining area so we were confused as to why she would offer us less desirable seating simply because we didn’t have a reservation. The hostess appeared annoyed by this request but then quickly seated us at a standard table. When we were seated, we noticed the plates were coated with water and residue. We asked if we could get different plates and the hostess said it was “just dishwasher water” and we again asked if they could at least bring us something to dry our plates. If I’m dining in a restaurant, the very least we could have is clean and dry dinnerware. She reluctantly took them away and brought out new ones. Our waitress was kind and attentive. They were quick to refill waters and ask if we needed anything during our meal. The service was fast and our food came out very quickly. I ordered the vegan gnocchi and my husband ordered one of the pizzas. The pizza was very good, a little sweet, but the crust was exceptional. Unfortunately, the choice in cheese made portions of the crust soggy but overall still good. My gnocchi had very little of the vegan sausage and was mostly sauce. After I had picked through the gnocchi and sausage bits, there was easily a cup of sauce remaining. I wish there was a better sauce to substance ratio. The cost was reasonable for a dine-in restaurant. I would consider coming back to try something different or maybe even order pizza to go. I’ll note that when we left, there was still ample standard seating available so again I’m confused as to why the hostess was resistant to seating us in the main dining area at our request… despite not having reservations.
