“Probably one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Very large portions. Quality food. We got divorced eggs and the VIP. Added cheese to the home fries (similar to a hash brown or fried potatoes) and a little avocado.We were only passing through Toledo and wanted a local diner. This place IMPRESSED. Friendly service, delicious food down to the thick toast.We highly recommend and would revisit if we are ever here again.“
“There was parking on the street for this establishment. When we arrived which was around 11am on Sunday. I ordered the eggs, hashbrowns, white toast and bacon. Everything was so delicious! We had a bit of a wait. But we had heard good things and we were patient. We noticed a long line appeared while we waited for our food. The waitress moved fast and tried their best. “Was doing a little Google research about Ohio's best restaurants and stumbled across Schmucker's. Was going to a Bengals game and decided to make a detour on the way down from Canada. Shmucker's is everything I expected and more. Amazing retro diner atmosphere that is authentic and original. Almost like walking back in time. It was packed when we arrived just after 1pm but we were able to get a seat at the bar which would have been my choice anyway. They have old school stools that really makes you feel the diner experience.I ordered a hot dog and a burger with chips. The g.f. ordered the burger with fries. Everything was amazing, great dinner homestyle smash burger which paired perfectly with the hot dog. Had a few of the g.f.'s fries. They were fresh cut and delicious.Best part about the meal was the pie (which is what they are famous for). I ordered the Buckeye pie which was amazing. Great crust, custard and cream topping plus the Buckeyes finishing it off. Had a bit of the g.f.'s banana cream pie and it was great too. Almost ordered a second slice.Can wait to head back sometime just wish it wasn't 5 hours away from Canada.“

“I'm giving the star diner 5 stars . First time I have ever been to one, and I have lived here my whole life. Seated promptly, everybody was friendly. The inside was a lot smaller than what it appeared. It felt a little cramped. But I forgot about most that when the food showed up. The portions were generous. The home fries were great. Everything was just so tasty. Would definitely recommend this place.“

We added mushrooms and onions to the home fries, and it was absolutely hands down the best breakfast I have had within 1.5 years that I have lived in Ohio. “The young cook made me some of the most perfect breakfast ever, home fires were on point. To the man working on 1/29-1/30 durning lunch can throw down! Wish I could give him a 11/10. I went there when he wasn’t working the next Day and got burnt hasbrown and super burnt bacon, so I would recommend to get some food when the tall gentleman is workin, he’s a wizard on the grill. “My husband and I were very impressed on how clean the place was considering it is inside a "truck stop". Our Dennys closed so we thought we would try this one. Cleaner and food was better than Rossford location ever was. Not crowded and great service.“
