My biggest issue was service. The lady whom sat us and took our order, basically disappeared about 3/4 of the way through our meal. Which seemingly was because of a larger table that was ordering bottles of wine and spending more money than our little two person wedding Anniversary table. Someone else took over eventually, after sitting with no service for some time. Everytime the first woman walked by or looked in our direction, it was as if we had never spoken. I dont often feel like something is "personal" but this dining experience was just that. The food was delightful, and the chef was personable.

I had a good experience here on a Saturday night dinner date. Beef Wellington was good and tender, thin crust, though. My better half got the salmon, and it was flavorful, but the rice that accompanied it was extremely bland. I wish they offered a few more menu options. It was a relaxing and loungful experience.

Very intimate upscale dining. Fabulous food.Kid-friendliness: Not a chicken tender place. I personally would not take children under 13. Guests expect quiet dining and the menu is not kid friendly.

Just really underwhelming. My wife and I both had the wellington and it was was just bland, under-seasoned steak with sloppy raw dough around it. We spent close to $300 for two people and regret it.

My fiancée left a message because no one ever answers …reservation’s for 2, Friday at 5:30 pm along with his name & number. We were driving to Perrysburg and figured I would call make sure someone took our reservation since driving from Michigan. No one answered and voicemail was full once again .

Cute atmosphere. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. The food was ok. Caesar salad really had no dressing. For dinner we the beef Wellington and pastry was doughy. Filet Mingon was very good but the potatoes and green beans lacked flavor.

I enjoy this little French inspired restaurant with its Cute, cozy interior. The staff is friendly and personable. I like their escargot and Ceasar salad. I got the beef wellington which was tasty although the pastry was a little doughy. But the potatoes that came with it were amazing, thinly sliced and stacked with cream. We spent $189 after tip for dinner for 2. That included 1 appetizers 2 entres and 3 glasses of wine.

My first time at the Rose & Thistle…my granddaughter Ellen, who lives in Perrysburg, goes all the time & loves it! She was treating me & from the moment we walked in I loved the atmosphere & quiet ambiance…I decided on the scallops, wild rice, and spiralled zucchini & carrot veg. My starter, was the most delectable Corn Chowder soup…no room for dessert. Haley the bartender, was fabulous as was, Chef Matt, who came out to make sure we were happy with our choices…I have recommended to many friends in Sylvania & most definitely will return.

Our experience: great starter dishes and deserts, friendly staff, good atmosphere and a very good selection of beer, wines and cocktails. The main course unfortunately lacked quality - NY Strip not cooked to the desired temp, fish overcooked, wild rice very dry.

Great service, wonderful food and very reasonable prices, especially on wine. Everyone received a crab cake mini appetizer even before we ordered. Had the mussels which were PEI mussels and the could have been a meal in themselves. Haven’t had mussels that large since Nova Scotia. Main course was monkfish for my wife and scallops for me. Only 3 scallops but they were huge and cooked perfectly. Didn’t have room for dessert. Highly recommend if you are in the area. We traveled 75 minutes to get there and it was well worth it. Enjoy!
