Sides really need some work. The Mac and cheese isn’t even edible. I’ve had tv dinners with better cheese. We went to give them another try bc we really love going to combustión for trivia night. But their hours don’t seem to correlate with the business they are attached to. And they were closed at 7:40 on a Thursday.I did like the sandwiches I’ve tried so far.

I just don’t understand the “brisket”. It was terrible and weird, dry, and the list goes on. Maybe from a crockpot? I will try Bobs one more time and update my review.

Latest opening of a nearby city of Lancaster classic restaurant in downtown Ole' Pickerington. We enjoyed the Shotgun Shells appetizer and delicious dishes: Pulled Pork Meal with Baked Beans and the Ultimate Brisket Sundae. My kids enjoyed their hotdogs with kettle chips. Reasonably priced for excellent barbecue. Service was exceptional, quick and prompt. Rustic looking ambiance with more potential to come on the decorating.

First and lat time! Service was null. Had te waiter for ice tea. He brings me sweet tea. Never asked if I was Ted sweet. We then ordered. He wanted to know what sauce. I asked why..sauces are on the table. His response was oh yeah. We asked fr straws 3 times before we got one. Then then so-called meal came. Very little meat was on a bun. Goodbye!

Got the Bob's Mac and Moo, smoked brisket with Lancaster Smoke BBQ sauce, sauteed onions, mac and cheese, and melted cheddar with a side of baked beans. This was a quality sammich, and one I would be happy to get again. The only thing I didn't like was the sweet tea, which was a Lipton-like pre-sweet lemon tea...not the front porch home brew tea I was hoping for. They've only been in Pickerington a short time, so the atmosphere just needs time to develop. Will probably be back.

Are y’all sure the brisket is smoked? Where’s the bark? Where’s the smoke? Your brisket (pot roast) has good flavor, but I’m confused as well. Is your sausage original, or something picked up from Kroger? Honestly asking. Unfortunately, this is not the spot for me.

Unimpressed. Very expensive for mediocre food. Won’t be back.

I have visited two times so far and regrettably, I don't believe that I'll be back for a third.Firstly, the portion sizes were notably small, especially when considering the price point ($11-$14/meal + upcharges on most sides + tax and tip, it easily ends up $20/person). While I understand and appreciate the effort that goes into preparing food for others, the servings did not sufficiently reflect the value one would expect from such an establishment. This aspect alone left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed, as part of the joy of barbecue is the hearty servings of sides that make a meal feel worth splurging on. I am not exaggerating when I say that a $3 side of baked beans can be consumed in 3-4 spoonfuls, same with the mac and cheese which was an additional upcharge.Additionally, the flavors of the dishes I tried (brisket, pulled pork, buffalo pulled chicken melt) were surprisingly bland. Traditional barbecue is celebrated for its rich, smoky, and sometimes spicy flavors, built through hours of careful cooking and seasoning. However, the meats I sampled lacked this depth and complexity of taste. Whether this was due to a cautious approach to seasoning or perhaps a different culinary philosophy, it meant the meat did not have any noticeable taste whatsoever unless you smothered it in sauces... The sauces were flavorful and they tried to put in work, but the meat texture and taste had a "boiled in water without any seasoning" sort of quality. The service was a little slow/confused as it seemed like they weren't staffed properly yet, and the decorum inside does not presently feel like a BBQ joint. The workers treated me kindly and I love to support local businesses, but the food was simply not enough to make me want to try it again. My hope is that this feedback can be seen as constructive, guiding a reassessment of portion sizes and a bolder approach to seasoning and meat flavor/preparation. I hope to one day come back and revise this review, but I would currently not recommend as I would rate the food as worth $6-$7 of value compared to the $20+ you will pay for sit down.

Very interesting experience. It’s hard when you have to be critical of a local business but I am very confused and disappointed by the food here. I got a 0.5 lb of brisket, Mac and cheese, and extra side of Cole slaw. I guess when I hear BBQ I think smoked meats, but this was very much like crockpot meat, very flavorless, and dry. The Mac and cheese was noodles with small chunks of cheese, no seasoning. They initially forgot my Cole slaw as pic shows, so that would have been disappointing had I eaten to-go. Sorry Bob, just wasn’t a W for me.

The pimento dip appetizer and the dressed up pulled pork sandwich were AMAZING. Husband had the Cuban which he liked except it had sweet pickles instead of dill. Baked beans and corn casserole were our sides (also fantastic). We will definitely be back.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had. The service wasn’t great, but it was their first day. A few months and this place will be the BOMB! Def going to go back.
