Aunt. Your mother's sister, or your father's sister. Or perhaps your uncle's wife. Or maybe like many people it's how your refer to a close female family friend. But Auntie, that's something different. Something that denotes an extra degree of affection, of love. Anne is deserving of this honorific. Whenever you are at an airport or a second rate mall, auntie Anne is there.
