We just moved to this area and I suppose the Hilliard Location gave me high expectations visiting this Handel's. The staff are not nearly as friendly, and the ice cream is not nearly as good at this Powell Location. Besides both of those, I've gone twice now for a quart of Mango Sorbet and the container is only partially filled. The first time way worse than the second time. Funny thing about it is I told the person taking my order the second time about my first experience and still the same exact thing happened. We use to visit the Hilliard location several times a week, I think it's safe to say that won't be happening for this location.

If your an ice cream connoisseur like me, then this place has to be on your list of places to go! They have so many fun and creative combinations, and seasonal varieties that you'll never get bored! I highly recommend getting the 4 sampler so you can try all the flavors.. recently we got the salted caramel, Oreo, strawberry cheesecake, and the cherry cordial

We always pass by Handel's whenever we are in the Powel area but never stopped by. So we decided that were going to take a drive and have ice cream at Handel's. It wasn't a hot day, it was nice cool weather. When we arrived, there were couple of people front of us. We ordered and waited about 10 minutes to get our ice creams. There is no inside seating area. You park your car and walk up to place your order. There are few benches with tables where you can sit and have your ice cream on the side of the building. We ordered a banana split and a black raspberry chunk on a cone. I liked the black raspberry chunk more than the banana split. I have always had banana split where the banana was split in half, with ice cream in the middle. But here the bananas were sliced and only few slices were put with two scoops of vanilla ice-cream, which was just mediocre. The raspberry flavor tasted like the black raspberry flavor ice cream from Graeter's. I can see this place getting really busy during a hot day, and I can totally see a long wait time to get your ice cream. Overall, the ice cream was decent and there are lots of flavors to choose from. If I lived close by, maybe I would go back to try other flavors but I don't think I would dedicate time and drive to get ice cream from this place again.

If you happen to be in Powell, check out Handel's. They also have a location in Hilliard. I am not 100% sure if they're open all year round, so definitely check before you go. They have SO many ice cream flavors. The flavor in this picture is chocolate peanut butter brownie. It was AMAZING! I also love their pistachio ice cream. If you can't decide which flavor to get, get the ice cream sampler. It's 4 scoops, but you will definitely need to share.
