They changed the Menu and have added a few more Items, Sandwich and Nuggets.Plant based Veggie options are available, so Vegetarians now Taste the Hot flavors. Banana pudding is delicious too.They have the Best Sweet Tea, which is supposedly Free and is now Charged. I hope they bring back the signature Free Tea again. Because, No Free Tea means, this is just like any other Fried Ckn Joint in the Town. Also, please add some Vibrance to the Atmosphere. Staff here are Super Duper Friendly.Vegetarian options: Plant based Nuggets can give u the same Hot Flavor as the Non Vegetarians enjoy.

Our first time trying and was definitely a disappointment. The restaurant itself is dirty, floors need swept, there was nobody else in there and yet we couldn’t find a clean table to sit at. Napkin dispensers empty. The employee also watched me pour the “sweet tea” into my cup knowing he hadn’t put the sweetener in it yet. As soon as i sat down he started putting it in and didn’t say a word. The food was absolutely just covered in salt making it nearly unbearable to eat. Will never be back to eat here.

Well, it was my first time at a Hot Chicken Takeover and I was hopeful coming into a tender restaurant, as I've had some very yummy food and memorable experiences at other chicken tender restaurants. But, unfortunately I was UNpleasantly surprised. The first impression was the price, next was when I opened the box of tenders and saw what appeared at first to be chicken wings because of the size! Then I realized 1 was a little larger than a wing. I haven't ever seen such small tenders. I've experienced much better chicken tenders before all this craziness with the economy started happening (in 2018) at a place in Asheville, NC that ends with hot chicken shack and starts with R. Also, more recently (in 2023), I had a pleasant experience at a place in Columbus that ends with Hot Chicken and starts with D. But there were some redeeming qualities to this visit today- they didn't nickel and dime me for every little thing (the sauces were free and he threw in an extra, and a side of bread was free)... Uh, maybe by some I meant one ??♂️. I want to like this place and come back instead of the other choices that make this a distant option but the reasons I don't like this place out-number the reasons I do (distance from home and it's a hot tender restaurant). Some smaller grievances include: 1. The restaurant atmosphere and food-getting experience left me feeling like I overpaid for a cheap-feeling experience (they had pickle slices on a toothpick for a garnish... And everything seemed small for the largest order you could get.) 2. The music was cheap (in a generic sense) and robbed me from my expectations of grandeur. Anyways, I believe this place is just another business trying to make cutbacks for survival. The problem is it's showing...

Recently, my experiences at the Hot Chicken Takeover Lewis Center location have fallen short of expectations. Last time, my order missed the fries, and this time, despite ordering a mix of Southern and Warm 4-piece drums, all came out as Southern. Additionally, the sides of baked beans were barely a quarter full, and the chicken quality was inconsistent, with some parts being soggy. For a place I used to rave about, it's disappointing to see such a dip in quality and attention to detail over the last several orders, and it has only consistently gotten worse. With all the options available in the area, it's hard to justify choosing Hot Chicken Takeover over others. Hoping for improvement in the future, but for now, it's not really worth it.

A huge shoutout to the staff at Hot Chicken Takeover in Lewis Center. Andrew, Ashley and Olva went way out of their way to accommodate my desire for a large batch of banana pudding for my son's birthday. I usually only like my Southern homemade from scratch but today was going to be one event and activity after the other and not enough time in the day. So knowing they have it on the menu, I talked to the manager who said we can make this happen and he could put a larger order in my provided trifle dishes. Came back today and the result was fantastic. They made it look beautiful. (And, of course, I like their chicken and their collard greens) Thanks again! Consistently the best hot chicken I have. The spicy ketchup is so good. Also the customer service is TOP NOTCH. They're very attentive and kind every time.

I’ve order online for hot wings pick up and yet when I get home 20 minutes away from the store and found out all wings are plain. Called the store multiple times and went straight to voicemail and look online can’t even find place to leave feedback for specific store. You need to have a way for guest to contact store or customer service center to help guest resolve issue quickly when it comes to food! I just wasted my money and time on this meal. So frustrated!

Review for pickup/order ahead. I love the ease of order through the app. We ordered a family bundle with 2 types of seasoning. It came with a huge tub of Mac n cheese, slaw and beans. I thought it was a great value and would get that again to feed multiple people. I was underwhelmed by the kids meals. The nuggets were sad looking/ not enough chicken to batter ratio. and the meal was visually not very appealing.

Wow, This place is wonderfu! Andrew, the manager is very helpful and assures that your order is correct and to your liking. Christian, the cashier, is pleasant and welcoming. We found out about this place five weeks ago & have gone every week. We usually go every Thursday for the 15 wing special for $20. It’s a great deal… We usually get 5 Southern wings which is the least seasoned, five Mild wings which have a little bit of seasoning and five Warm Wings which are hot enough for me..
