One of my favorite places but their concern about cost led to a bad experience. The lunch menu describes two sweetheart rolls and a soup or salad and lists the price as $14. Well that is per roll. And it is not how the server described it either. I thought it seemed too good to be true and ultimately cost an extra $30 on lunch for two that I wasn't expecting.

Truly the best sushi I have had, Ohio or otherwise. We started with crab rangoon, which were made fresh and extremely good, and the best Philly roll I have had (I order a Philly everywhere I go).We then got several rolls for our main course and EVERY SINGLE ONE was a 12/10. The creativity of the flavor combos was excellent. The rolls including mango were my favorite (I am not a big mango person, I was shocked). The ingredients were all extremely fresh and everything was amazing. Also the service was wonderful! Our server had excellent recommendations, was very attentive, and we learned about how some of the recipes were created.I can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!

Tried this place for the first time today, and I really liked it! I had the green wish roll and the vegetable/sweet potato special roll from the board (I can't remember the name). They were both really good but my favoritewas the veggie/sweet potato roll. I also had the fried bananas (yum) and ordered the tofu Inari roll to go.Service was great and friendly. Parking options aren't great, but I'd come back here.

The food is delicious. But, I've been there twice and was told both times nit to order sushi or I would have a long wait. The first time their sushi chef called in for an emergency. The second time a large group was seated before us. I had the Ramen the first time I went. It is a very generous portion. The brother was delicious. It came with a shrimp tempura on the side and chicken teriyaki on top. There was lots of veggies in the broth.

We went for restaurant week, which is when they have a set three course menu for a deal. It’s highly advertised and is a big reason why we finally came in. After we waited for 40 min (they don’t do reservations for parties of two), we were seated and they told us that they weren’t doing the restaurant week menu because of “sheer volume”. We decided to stay anyways, which was a mistake. We waited a very long time to place our orders, and they took just as long to come out. We ordered the edamame which came super over cooked. My husband ordered the Katsu which was to dry and not flavorful. And I am vegan, which I discussed at length with our server, and was told I could order the Tofu Hibachi which would be vegan. My rice came out with visible pieces of egg in it. Thankfully I don’t have an allergy, but it was absolutely not vegan. It seems like the kitchen did not have a good understanding of what “vegan” qualities as, and that makes me concerned about guests who have allergies. Needless to say, we won’t be returning even though our server was kind and apologetic.Dietary restrictions: They served me a nonvegan dish after discussing extensively with our server that I needed my meal to be vegan. I do not believe they have a good handle or respect of dietary restrictions.

When you want to find good sushi place it’s almost always “help yourself” option. Reason for it is- we all different and we all look for different things and have different expectations when it comes to sushi ?. So it’s always a hunting for good place that will suit your preferences.About two years ago, me and my wife stopped at this place and I didn’t expected much, it was simply close by to us where were waiting to pick up our kids.Well- it’s was a best try in Columbus area for sushi. We being going there since. Sushi is best! Also, we always had good and friendly people who were serving us! Toro is the best sashimi you could have . Few days ago, we saw some Japan nationals there , so it was a good confirmation that this is legit place ))

We love going to Oishii. The staff is so friendly and the food is tasty. The videos from Japan are fun. They have a wide variety. They also show more local ball games too.Kid-friendliness: My grandson enjoyed going.
