We were the only ones in the restaurant. The table was sticky, the food was bland, no napkins in sight, no soda refills, and we had to listen to the two employees talk the whole time and say curse words.

Really wanted this place to be good, We got the croquetas de jamon which were weird and flavorless, the cuban sandwich was decent but there are better out there. The worst part was the drinks tasted weird and didnt get refills, the table was extremely sticky, and for the prices they're asking we expected

Looking for a good Cuban sandwich and found one! The Maduros were a great complement to the sandwich.

Staff cordial, good food, reasonable prices. Sit down dining area is fairly basic, not real fancy furnished, but ok. Havana Cafe refers more to the Cubano sandwich menu rather than the decor. There are numerous variations of the Cubano sandwich to try. Take out section also convenient.

I got an el Cubano sandwich to go the full sized, they were out of pickles somehow but I decided to try it anyway. The bun was good but the sandwich was only 1/2 ham and 1/2 pork which didn't match anything else I have tried. Flavor was only okay but it made me kinda sad. Not sure if I will try it

Have been here a few times now. The Cuban’s are very good, probably the best cuban I can find in the Columbus area. They were out of a lot of other things we wanted. The Tres Leches is good, not the best I’ve had, but would continue to get it. Service has always been friendly.

After driving over 30 miles and I checked there website I arrived there to be told at seven o'clock that they where getting ready to close and the dining room was closed. Now I planned this all day cause I'm Cuban and I was in the mood for Cuban food and to be told we're closing at 7pm and even the sign on the door said 8 I guess the didn't have much business and the waiters went home. To bad I could have spread a good word. Now. NADA from me

This is some of the most expertly cooked food I’ve had in Columbus. Each fried food on the Havana Sampler had special attention paid to it, from prep and shape of the food, to the style and degree of deep-frying. The roasted pork is perfect. Just so so so good.

Worst cuban food I have ever had. It was disgusting. The rice was hard and cold, the beans were burnt, the cuban sandwich only tasted like mustard, and even the soup was salty. The soup was the only ‘dish’ that actually had flavor, but unfortunately it was so salty I couldn’t even eat it.The waitress was very sweet though, can’t stay the same thing about the guys. They were always looking over constantly and made me and my friend uncomfortable.

Little disappointed with this restaurant. Not sure where they get their high star rating. The tamale was so salty I took one bite and threw the rest away. The El Cubano was average at best. The bread was a bit to soggy. The empanada was good, could have been great if their meat to dough was higher towards the meat side. Two or three bites were just the dough. The papas rellena was delicious. Good ratio of meat to potatoes and flavor was good. Overall I was expecting more from a restaurant with a 4.5 average star rating.

Not a positive experience during our last visit. I cannot recommend the food or service. Better options elsewhere.

The place was totally empty & 2 Anglo's with seemingly no Cuban heritage were running. I picked the "arroz con pollo" that tasted surprisingly good with pretty good seasoning, but had no semblance of any "arroz con pollo" I've ever had? Mind you that I'm a Cuban American who's had arroz con pollo countless times throughout my life! The food was pretty good, but the place nothing to speak about...

If you're in the mood for some authentic Cuban cuisine, then Pablo's Havana Cafe should definitely be on your list. Although the outside of the restaurant was under construction, as soon as we stepped inside we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance. The service was quick and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu had a great selection of traditional Cuban dishes, and we were excited to try the Cubano sandwich. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the combination of ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard resulted in a flavor explosion in our mouths.Overall, our experience at Pablo's Havana Cafe was fantastic. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for some amazing Cuban cuisine.

I am a half Cuban, born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Florida. I know Cuban food, this is authentic and well done Cuban food.My family and I were visiting the Columbus area. A few years ago we moved to Van Wert, OH. We miss our cultural food, and whenever we go somewhere now where we can have some good Cuban food, we go. We came one morning right at opening. We were craving some good Cuban breakfast. That is just what we got here. The server immediately sat us down and got our orders. I loved this little place. I loved how it was decorated with the mural and of course the small tiny Cuban flags! We started with an appetizer, which were some croquetas de jamon. Croquetas de jamon are essentially fried bite sized logs of ground ham. They are some of my favorite things to eat. Anyone who hasn't tried one, should! We also ordered some cafe con leche as our drink order. Anyone not familiar, this is Cuban coffee with milk. Its fantastic! We ordered some eggs, chorizo, and hash browns with a side of bacon. We also all had some Cuban toast! Oh how i love and miss Cuban bread! Cuban bread is the best bread, it is truly heavenly! Closest equivalent would be Italian... Its both Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside... its perfection... and Cuban toast just takes that and makes it even better! The restaurant also sells Cuban bread to go as well as Cuban soft drinks like Iron Beer, Jupina, and Materva. We took some Cuban bread, Jupina, and Materva to go back to Van Wert. The service throughout our time her was excellent! The whole experience was excellent! Anyone in Columbus who wants to try Cuban food should come here... and if your a fellow Cuban... come here for some authentic Cuban food!
