This place is always a great time. The owner is super personable and always stops to have a chat with us, and the service has always been friendly. The food is amazing and their bourbon selection is excellent.Parking: There are various free lots and street parking in the Powell area.

Looking forward to seeing what eventually occupies this location, after this tired “Gastro Lounge” inevitably goes belly up.

I recently had the misfortune of encountering the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The level of incompetence and indifference displayed by the staff at Prohibition Lounge was beyond belief. I am writing this review to warn others and express my utter disappointment with the lack of professionalism and basic customer care from this establishment.I recommend going to Local Roots instead. They are more responsive and have better customer service.

I hate to write a poor review for an establishment but I had the worst experience I have had in years here on December 29th 2023. My friend and I had an evening without our kids so decided to go out for dinner and drinks. We preferred to sit at the bar instead of a table. The front bar was full but the kind hostess recommended we go back to the secondary bar they have in the back, not attached to the main building as there would be seating available there.Up until then it was completely fine. The back area only had 2 other patrons at the bar and the hostess told us to find a seat and our waitress/bartender would help us from there. We took 2 seats at the bar and within about 30 seconds were being yelled at that those seats were "reserved." The bar was small and there was no reserved signage so my friend and I were a bit confused. The person who yelled was the bartender who had just entered the building. She then proceeded to tell us half the bar was reserved, that forced us right next to the other 2 patrons at the bar. Found that to be rude and definitely poor customer service but if that was all that had happened I would not be writing this review.I wanted to leave, as I did not feel like staying for dinner, my friend recommended we at least get a drink then go elsewhere for dinner. We asked for a menu and the lady pointed to where we could look the menu up with a qr code. She did not speak with us and was texting the entire time we were there. She finaly took our order (begrudgingly it seems) sloshed my glass of wine over the edge in the haste of getting it to me. We asked for our check immediately, she handed it to us and left the building. We paid and walked out. The "reserved/not reserved" seats were never taken as the party had not showed up.We finished our drinks, the bartender never showed back up.We left and saw the bartender standing in street parking spot along perhaps holding it for her friends or whomever she had "reserved" half the bar for. This was at 6pm. We went and had dinner elsewhere.I will never go back.

That atmosphere was amazing! The pretzel sticks, brussel sprouts, pulled pork, and grilled chicken sandwich were very good.

Living in Powell for over 8 years now, I've had good and bad experiences here. I wish I could give a higher rating because I've always loved the vibe of Prohibition. I'm at 3 because of the heavy focus on French fries and Mac & Cheese. I am not a fan of either dish in any form at any restaurant. Still, I found those two dishes to be a strange place to double down on. At the time of this review there are 3 types of french fries and 5 types of Mac & Cheese. That approach doesn't fit the gastropub vibe in my opinion.

If y'all are going to close before 1130 (your Google page says you close at midnight on Fridays) can someone take the time to update your page so a group of people Don't waste their time driving here?

Food was average, though the brussel sprouts were amazing. Good sized portions for prices, but drink options were water, Coke, or Diet Coke.Ordered appetizer that came out after the main meals, but wasn't bad since it went well with our meals.Waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. The vibe of the place is really cool. Visited the outdoor patio area while friends smoked and thought it was charming. There's a detached private area for events that looked appealing as well.A little pricey but worth it overall for portions, experience, and atmosphere.Parking: I parked a couple blocks away but appeared street parking would be available during slower times.

I'm a big fan. Food's great. Bourbon selection amazing. Service great. Could turn the live music down to cater to the crowd, but people seem to enjoy it (when they have it). I love that they are closed one day a week to let their employees have the day off (I always forget and try to go that day)

We have never had a bad meal here. The Flatbreads are awesome, so are the tacos. The Korean fried chicken is a must try.

The food was prepackaged slop. The macaroni in the mac and cheese was so soft you could have eaten it with no teeth. It was all one gooey texture and served in thin, disposable, aluminum containers. I would rate the meal slightly above an in flight meal.
