My salmon hibachi was over cooked to leather and the shrimp appetizer was also over cooked. Also, for the cool show and all, they really used soy sauce very liberally. Cool show but terrible food.

Dine in is good. To go is extremely overpriced. Buyer beware. You get less than 50% for to go as you would for dine in. Same price. Come on Tanuki! Pack your to go food like The House of Japan. Ridiculous.

Today is my first one ordering from this place, and to be honest, I'm quite disappointed. I was expecting a bigger size and believe that you actually get more from grocery store sushi. All of 4 items came up to 38 ish which I think it could be better for that price.

Came here for a work holiday dinner. Service was timely and the food was REALLY good! I was very happy with the booking service, was timely, accurate and friendly. I was very happy with the service when we all arrived and how they ensured there was space for all of us. The food was bomb.com and would definitely recommend this place! I might even want to come back here with my fiance for a romantic dinner date!

Ordered pick up. Cheap chinese take out quality for triple the price. Food was super oily. The scallops were over cooked and almost balsa wood texture. Not good.

Taste was fair. Way too much cooking oil and Terrayaki sauce was watery.I'm from Hawaii. Raised on Japanese cuisine and restaurants. This is not authentic Japanese. It's Chinese version of Japanese food.
Tried for the first time with a friend from Powell who spoke highly of this place! The lunch specials are amazing and very reasonable! The mushroom soup is delicious and the hibachi cook was wonderful! Highly recommend!

Stopped here on two different occasions after a trip to the zoo. The prices, service, and food were great. Very tasty! I would love to go to the zoo again in the future and stop here again afterwards.

Tanuki’s food is fabulous and been a customer for years. Recently they went above and beyond when doordash screwed up our order. They made a fresh order and hand delivered to us.
