I really enjoyed the food. My meal was hot and tasted great. The biggest downside was the noise. Having a conversation was almost impossible as it was so noisy. It's a shame as the noise ruined the experience.

I met 4 clients and a colleague there and it was my first time meeting them. The welcoming friendly staff and amazing food broke down any awkward barriers. It was a relaxed atmosphere and warm and cozy for a crisp fall day. The food was amazing! We bought two zucchini fries platters, which was more than enough. One platter could have taken care of all five people easy. But then we got the hummus, and I’m not certain what the name is but it was like a honey chipotle I believe. I never like hummus, but I tried it because it looked good, and it was the best hummus I have ever had in my life. For lunch I used their pick two menu. I got the chicken tortilla soup along with the local house salad with blue cheese. I’ve never had blue cheese dressing so thick so chunky with fresh blue cheese ever. It was amazing. No one complained about their food or the service. I will make it a point to go there again the next time I’m in town. I also noticed at least three other business groups meeting with one another. So it’s a good spot for any crowd. From children to adults in a casual setting or a business meeting.

Seems like the owner needs to straighten out her priorities and make sure her restaurant is providing consistent service and food that’s actually hot instead of picking little fights with other local businesses. Perhaps the service wouldn’t suffer as much if the staff wasn’t made up of 16-18 year olds that quite every few months, though i do not blame them, the chaos is not endearingly. Too expensive for food you have to gamble on whether it’s eatable every time you go.

Really good local, fresh food with a menu for everyone's taste. The menus changes seasonally. I had a Nicoise Salad with Salmon. Plenty to eat. The salmon was seared perfectly. Friendly wait staff.

This is one of our go to restaurants and generally we really like the fresh foods, and the service has always been very good. One of my favorite foods are the wings and garlic potatoes and recently I noticed that they aren't doing as well as they used to with cooking the wings. In fact several of their dishes have been under par lately. Here's an example, the other day I ordered the wings extra crispy and when I got them they really weren't crispy and they felt and tasted like they had been sitting around too long. The service was ok but our waitress keep saying..."I got ya" when we would ask for something and then we waited and had to ask again because she forgot. Overall this was just an average meal in a busy restaurant.

Staff was friendly but even though our group had a reservation we still had to wait about 20 minutes for a table at 1:30 in the afternoon. I got the steak salad. I wasn't real impressed with the service in that when salads and sandwiches were served the waiter did not pick up our empty, dirty dishes from appetizers.

We used to love this place. It seems like each time we come here it gets worse. My daughter ordered a pizza and it was terrible. My food was cold. My wife's order was incorrect. The waiter gave her a free dessert. The spoons that came with the dessert were filthy. We used our forks for the ice cream. The service was mediocre, at best.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon (about 12:30), busy, but were able to get a table relatively quickly (by the time we left around 2 there were at least four tables of people waiting). We were seated and, since I had not been here before the waiter gave me a brief overview of their farm-to-table philosophy and pointed out some items on the menu. Ended up getting the bison burger with sweet potato fries and the wife had a salad. By all reports, the salad was very good. My bison burger was very good, but I believe the sweet potato fries may have not exactly been frame to table. They seemed to have a coating on them consistent with some other sweet potato fries I have had in other establishments. After trying a couple, they stayed on the plate. Table service was very good, the waiter was on top of things, and we even finished with the pecan pie that was excellent. Overall, good food, good experience, but get some fresh sweeet potato fires without the extra coating on them.

This afternoon was our first time to dine at Local Roots, an establishment which offers 'farm to table' selections highlighting many Ohio sources. From the greeting hostess to our server (Beth!) to the fellow who brought our dessert, all were so nice and welcoming. My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich and I had the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. Both served on Great Harvest breads - that alone alludes to the high quality of what was stuffed within! A side comes with a sandwich - we both chose the Bleu Cheese-Bacon Hash. Served warm, this dish was extremely tasty - the perfect pick! Definitely will return to try more menu offerings! *NOTE*: 1)Reservations are a must to guarantee seating for lunch or dinner and 2)there is a large parking lot with entry off of E. Olentangy Street in downtown Powell.

The food was delicious and our server was very friendly….will definitely go again! We had appetizers and then pizza.

I had a fine sandwich here this summer. I was excited to try their roasted beets as a side. I was literally offended by what I got. They served warmed canned beets. Remember this was during the summer. They couldn't get fresh beets? And how could they describe them as roasted? Warm, tin-tasting, mushy beets. When the waitress asked if I wanted to take them home, since I hadn't eaten more than one bite, I mentioned that they were not what I was expecting and clearly not roasted, she said okay, I'll get your check. Defiantly not her fault but an apology would have been nice.

I really loved the atmosphere -- on a busy weekend night, the restaurant was full of families enjoying a nice meal which brought back some nice memories! I enjoyed the bread (it tasted home made) and my delicious Mediterranean salad. My companions had a pepperoni pizza (he loved it; I thought it was very bready and heavy but hey, I didn't order it) and the "chopped" salad which was not very chopped. Lettuce and veggies were fresh, but not chopped into small pieces and there was a very large amount of shredded turkey, also not chopped, so she was not thrilled with it. Good beverages, reasonable prices. I had a good time! and lots of gluten free options here too. Our server was a little cranky but it was extremely busy so I get that.

Food was awful, service was poor. The wife ordered a BLT, it was a mayonnaise laden mess and I ordered the California Chicken, again excessive mayo with no distinctive taste. We sat at the bar were the typical drink bots, kept asking us to make a drink orders but failed to check on our food which was a bit late and which resulted in Luke warm fries. When our plates sat full when we asked for the check, they said nothing and when I said food was not good, they literally ran away. Never seen that before.

We've eaten here many times. Time to find a new local place? The day was rainy. Web and sign on the door said they open for lunch at 11. They finally opened at about 11:20. Restaurant has a large lobby separate from dining area, so manager could have let people in out of the rain. He/she didn't. Used the men's room right after we sat down. Smelled like a bus station. Towel dispenser was empty and the door to it was open. How can it be smelly and empty 10 minutes after you open? One of the drink glasses wasn't clean. Salad for my partner was good. Sandwich I had was dry; thick bread had no moisture. Like cardboard. Yesterday's bread? I'll admit this was the first iffy experience we've had here, but it was troubling and easily avoided.

The food was great but the heated outdoor patio is not something I ever want to experience and you shouldn't either. When they say heated it just means there are several stand up heaters. You are exposed to the cold no barriers to block the wind and it was freezing cold. They do offer blankets to keep you warm. I would make the reservation and stay inside in the winter. Great place in the summer!
