We had our company Christmas party here (approximately 40 people), and it was so nice. The food was excellent, staff was friendly and attentive, and they decorated the tables just enough to give that holiday touch! We went bowling after our luncheon at Cedar Lanes, and the staff took great care of our group there, too. Such a great experience for our staff. Thank you!

The room is pretty…. But that’s where the positives end. The hotel is in the back of a restaurant. The hostess for the restaurant took us to our room. The bathroom was shabby. The remote to the TV didn’t work. The whole place felt gross. There was no breakfast and in fact you had to go back to the restaurant or bowling alley to talk to an employee. It’s just a weird place. You’re better off at the holiday inn next door.

If you have ever stayed at a true boutique hotel, you would know that this is not it. The pictures on the website sure make it look like one! However, our room was horrible and small. No closet, just a few hooks to hang things. Not one hook or towel bar in the bathroom. Chipping paint. Moldy extractor fan above the shower. One of the numbers fell off of our door. Our friends each had suites which were much bigger and somewhat nicer. The entry areas were disgusting, and I do not use that term lightly. Stained and worn carpet. The stale smell of smoke hits you every time you enter. Security door to 2nd floor rooms was broken. Check-in is confusing. You go into the bar, the Thirty Pony and if you are lucky and ask around enough, someone will come and help you. Not my favorite place an we won’t be back!

I love the Thirsty Pony, this hotel's restaraunt and bar. The food is bar food quality, but tastes good. The drinks are some of the best you can get in the general area. However, the servers are just kind of rude. They take forever. There could be a multitude of reasons for this, and they ultimately get their job done so I can't complain. Anyways, the rooms are amazing. The downside is, our room was not in a secured area. I think some drunk people were wondering around at night and trying our door. Also, the bathroom is subpar. The floor appeared dirty and the toilet paper dispensers sucked.! The mattresses need replaced, as they are very noisy and springy. They offer complimentary beer, water, wine, and snacks though, and the room itself is beautiful.

Thsi hotel is trucked away inside the ThirstyPony, not easy tofind, but once we did what pleasant surprise. Adorable room decorated ina stable stheme with hard wood floors, a stone fireplace - it was quite cozy. This is not your usal hotel check in is actulaly in the restaurant which was quite busy when you get there and the barteneder checks you in but she took teh time to tell us all about the palce and walked us to the room. What a great experience, althougha little quirky the kids loved it expecially the free bowlign and lazer tag that was uncluded. Oh yeah I fogot to mention this hotel is connected to the bowling alley with lazer tag and it's included. We wil defintley be back. Great winter get a way with the kids.

My fiance and I decided to getaway for the day and decided to stay at the Stables overnight (10/10/19). Checkin was a little odd to me (Their booth is inside the Thirsty Pony Restaurant). It was unattended when we first arrived, but someone at the Thirsty Pony called and someone showed up after a few minutes to check us in. The guy introduced himself, checked us in, then instead of showing us a map of the facility and where our room was located he actually walked with us to the room while showing us where each ammenity was located (On site Resturaunt, Bowling and Laser tag). Before we entered the room, he let us know that the room came with a complimentary bottle of wine, beers, carmel corn, buckeyes, and a free game of both bowling and laser tag for each guest. I thought to myself that with all of the free perks that they throw in the room must be run down. Boy was I wrong. When we entered the room I was pleseantly surprised. It sort of looks like a stable (Has a rustic accent wall, rustic light fixtures, and wood beams installed in the ceiling). Our room also came with a fireplace, large flat screen, microwave, fridge, safe, and the usual stuff that a room comes with. The finishings are all new and go well with the rustic feel of the room. The A/C works well, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had decent pressure. Now, I did notice a few minor issues with the room such as the subpar workmanship around a light fixture and in the shower. Also, the toilet wouldn't shut off which was annoying, but I didn't report it. The only other issue that we experienced was the construction going on right outside our window. It started at like 6 or 7am, but I don't blame the Stables for that. For what we payed to stay here ($125.00) the stay was better then expected. I would defintely stay here again ecspecially if planning a trip to cedar point which is like 5 minutes away.

Breakfast was great. Room was large with amenities. Floors and vents were dirty. Hotel staff were all really nice.

I do not understand how anyone can say this was an awesome hotel. Yes, it is dated. But, I have stayed at decent dated hotels before that were clean and comfortable. I don't even know where to begin. The hotel was completely dirty, from the lobby, to the hallways, to the room. I have a toddler that I was afraid to let touch anything. The floors were filthy, the tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned (due to soap residue and hairs still present), the furniture was all stained
