I wanted to leave a private review as the stay was generally great.Something that stood out to me was the cloth shower curtain that hung outside the shower, not the one that was inside the shower, smelled heavily of urine. Ugh was so gross and of course it was directly next to the toilet which I'm sure is why it smelled bad but that means it also brushed against legs when trying to toilet or open and close the shower curtain. Im guessing it was not changed out after each room which also made me question if the one on the inside the shower was also even changed????

We celebrated my grandson's 2nd and my 54th birthday along with my 8 yr. Old and 3 mo. Old grandbabies.We/I had an absolute Blast ❣️ We stayed 3 days and truly no one wanted to leave.Tho, the outside wasn't open yet we couldn't get enough.Clean, beds were very comfortable, accommodating, and good food.Very friendly and helpful staff. We have stayed at several Grey wolf Lodge ( Traverse City being the best.)This place by far is 10x's more fun and entertaining.Water was just right temperature wise .Dressing room huge, clean shower and bathroom.Accommodating for the disabled. All in all one of my Favorites birthday's ever.Loved the waterslide's.And the lifeguards did a great job ❣️Making Safety 1st❣️❣️Highly recommend ❣️❣️❣️

Our room had an odd smell. A HUGE group came in at 2 am and made so much noise I could not sleep. Prices are outrageous

We had a good stay, but Kalahari has just gotten so expensive. It's easy to drop over 1500$ in a weekend with a family of four. It used to be much more affordable.

Have been here many times over the years and have the similar complaints as others have posted. Overpriced, in need of updates, price gouging. The cons: ridiculously overpriced, for all food drinks apparently towels now as well.-Water park attractions are dwindling for cabanas and leaving less seating for everyone else.-There is really no relaxing area in the park other than the adult hot tub, the lazy river clearly says no horseplay (not enforced) yet we are getting bumped into constantly and mowed over by unsupervised kids, the same happened in the kid friendly hot tub.-Just in general a lot of unsupervised younger kids being rude and getting into your personal space landing on you with their roughhousing. Also cutting in line for the slides happened frequently with no repercussions.-would not bring my own children here, not very kid friendly. Most of the clientele are very rude and would be worried about my own kids getting hurt by these unsupervised ones.-another issue is people recording others I’ve noticed multiple adult men doing this and I don’t understand why there is nothing preventing this from happening. I also don’t understand why they don’t make it mandatory to scan ids for everyone staying at the park and rooms. No background check anyone could walk up in a park full of children.Pros: in general just a large water park with a lot of amenities to offer-despite what others said the customer service was good for me, we didn’t have hot water the first day but the maintenance man did a quick fix.-in general we did have a very fun timeIt’s definitely declined over the years and if this multimillion dollar company would get it together it would be a much more pleasant experience for everyone. Stop charging so much for everything as the rooms are expensive enough as is. Maybe employ more lifeguards and actually crack down on the horseplay so people can have a more relaxing time. Or even better put in more adult only water fixtures for people trying to enjoy their weekend getaway. And actually fix the run down rooms, why are the chairs torn up and paint chipping off the doors these are cheap fixes. They sent us a txt asking us how they could help our experience to leave a better review, maybe take a look at your review page and actually fix the problems people are posting about instead of handing them some arcade tokens and a generic apology. This could easily be an amazing place to stay but I’ll take the kids to great wolf lodge next time until they do an entire rework of the way they run things.

It’s really fun, the pools are nice and hot a bar that’s in the water, wave pool that u have to jump or else water is going to get in ur nose. Also the rooms are very comfy. Psa: when ur in ur hotel and see the couch take off the the couches coushins and u will see the couch can turn into a bedRooms: Other rooms are exactly the same I recommend to move next to or get a hotel next to your family/friends or whoever u go withWalkability: When you’re in the indoor pools make sure to wear crocs or sandals cause the floor is very ruff and the bottom of the lazy river and more pools is the same.

I will never come back here. Me n my wife were under the impression that we had paid full the price. Nobody told me that they only took quarter of the payment. Not one email not one call to say hey you only paid so n so. It was kick to the face and dishonest. Then at five o'clock at nite the guy offers day pass that I can then pay for. For what?? What the hell will that do??? It was embarrassing to ask my son to help me pay for our vacation.

Room was nice and clean. Alot of the staff was uninformed or uneducated and could not direct us to our room or give directions to other areas of the park. Food was expensive but decent except for the breakfast buffet.

Overall positive experience and would return. Only minor complaints abput check in and out. Check in was a bit confusing. I paid for the early check in and late check out but it took quite a bit of time to talk to a person at the check-in counter even though the lobby was nearly empty. The real issue I have though happened around check out time. Late checkout was at 2 (or so), which I thought would be great so we could enjoy the water park in the morning and still have time to shower and pack up before heading out. We got back to the room at noon and from that time to 130, this manager knocked on our door 3x to ask if we were still there. Each time I opened the door, confirmed we were still there AND that we paid for late check out, which they confirmed they knew...so why are you interrupting us multiple times if we still have the room?? As a single parent, trying to pack everything up, get the kid together, and be out on time it was unnecessarily stressful. We were out by 135 (yes, I checked the time) but definitely felt like we were being hussled out even though we paid extra to be there.

Everything was perfect except for when they started yelling at me for going down the water slides to fast I can't control my weight and just bc I was hefty enough to fly down the slides doesn't mean I should be criticised for it.

Went here for the first time during spring break and had a good time. Waterpark had a wide variety of attractions for ages and the room we had was spacious and well-maintained. Arcade was huge, restaurants were good but everything was very expensive. Will definitely go back.

Rooms: I was in a sweet with 4 other ladies, and there was plenty of room for us, and the beds were pretty good. The pillows were horrible. Unless you like feather pillows, I would suggest bringing your own. The shower in the small bathroom was not very comfortable to shave your legs. Overall, a pretty nice room.Nearby activities: The Waterpark was a blast. We went down the slide and had a blast! The hot tub for adults only was nice. Before leaving, we went down the lazy river as well.Food & drinks: So on Friday night we went to the B Lux restaurant located inside Kalahari. We ordered our food, and when it came out, 4 of the 6 orders had something wrong with them. We told the girl who brought the food out, and instead of being polite and friendly, she gave us dirty looks and took some of the food back. Our waitress came over to check on us soon after the food arrived. We explained to her what had happened, and she called the manager over and together we told her what happened. In the end, they have us all our meals for free!
